ADAC president Dr. Markl attends the rally: ADAC president Dr. August Markl and three further ADAC board members attended the ADAC Rallye Deutschland on site. Together with Markl, Matthias Feltz, first vice-president of the ADAC e.V., Thomas Burkhardt (ADAC vice president for technical affairs) and ADAC sports president Hermann Tomczyk witnessed the ceremonial start at the Porta Nigra, visited special stages in the vineyards along the Mosel river and the legendary stage at Panzerplatte. There, the ADAC board members also met with DMSB president Hans-Joachim Stuck.

ADAC president Markl thanks rally volunteers: The ADAC Rallye Deutschland is the ADAC's largest motorsport event and a joint effort of all the 18 regional ADAC clubs and the head office in Munich. Around 3,000 volunteers ensured a trouble-free running of the rally. ADAC president Dr. August Markl and Matthias Feltz, first vice-president of the ADAC, visited a marshals' post on Saturday in order to express their thanks on behalf of the ADAC e.V. for the huge commitment and the boundless efforts by the volunteers during the ADAC Rallye Deutschland.

ADAC Rallye Deutschland as a crowd-puller: In excellent late summer weather conditions, the ADAC Rallye Deutschland once again attracted many rally fans this year. In total, some 225,000 fans visited the region of Trier over the weekend, among them numerous foreign rally fans.

VfL Wolfsburg came to visit: Once again, the ADAC Rallye Deutschland turned out to be a meeting point for VIPs this year. Thus, football players of VfL Wolfsburg were among the guests on Saturday. Head coach Dieter Hecking, managing director Klaus Allofs and players Christian Träsch and Maximilian Arnold visited the Volkswagen Motorsport team. Immediately after their match against 1. FC Köln on Saturday afternoon, they set off to Trier, attended the evening service and witnessed the thrilling action on the special stages on Sunday.

Revolverheld excites: Prior to the visit of the prominent football players, Panzerplatte was the centre of the attention on Saturday. The band 'Revolverheld' provided the highlight with an exclusive live concert on the Volkswagen stage. With their hits, including 'Das kann uns keiner nehmen', 'Ich lass für Dich das Lich an' and 'Lass uns gehen', the four musicians from Hamburg kept excitement among the numerous fans upright in between the special stages.

Reception by the city of Trier: On Friday evening, the city of Trier and the ADAC invited highly-ranked officials from motoring federation FIA, business managers and politicians to an official reception by the city. At this occasion, Wolfram Leibe, the mayor of Trier, welcomed the ADAC Rallye Deutschland to Trier.

Red Bull rally party: On Saturday evening, fans created a great atmosphere during the official Red Bull rally party. The event, with free access for ticket holders, started in the service park and continued in a disco after a transfer with SKODA shuttle vehicles.

Spectacular ceremonial start: On Thursday evening already, numerous fans attended the traditional ceremonial start in front of the historic Porta Nigra until well into the night. For the occasion of the drivers' presentation, the Porta Nigra was spectacularly illuminated.

Guests from all over the world in Trier: The guests of honour during the weekend included a rally delegation from South Korea as well as the promoters of almost all the World Rally Championship rounds, who participated in a WRC Promoter Workshop in the city at the Mosel river.
