Munich/Trier, 20 August 2015 – A successful dress rehearsal in excellent conditions – that is what fans and drivers were able to enjoy during today’s shakedown for the 2015 ADAC Rallye Deutschland. At the 4.60 kilometres long route between Konz and the community of Kommlingen, Jari-Matti Latvala posted the fastest time of 2:21.4 minutes from his Volkswagen team-mate Andreas Mikkelsen (2:21.6 minutes). Behind them, Kris Meeke (2:22.1 minutes) with his Citroën DS 3 WRC and world champion Sébastien Ogier (2:22.2 minutes) with his Volkswagen Polo R WRC followed in third and fourth place. Robert Kubica was the best-placed Ford driver with the fifth-fastest time (2:23.0 minutes) from his team-mate Ott Tänak (2:23.4 minutes) and Hayden Paddon (2:23.6 minutes) with his Hyundai i20 WRC. The other drivers in the top ten: Hyundai’s Dani Sordo (2:23.7 minutes), Citroën drive Mads Østberg (2:23.8 minutes) and Elfyn Evans (2:23.9 minutes) with his Ford Fiesta RS WRC. Last year’s winner, Hyundai driver Thierry Neuville just missed out on a top ten result with the eleventh-fastest time (2:24.3 minutes).
Ceremonial start at the Porta Nigra
The world’s top drivers meet world heritage: the ceremonial start in front of the historic back-drop of the Porta Nigra in Trier will mark the official getaway for the ADAC Rallye Deutschland on Thursday evening. From 19:30 hrs onwards, fans already have the opportunity to collect autographs from the WRC stars at the Hauptmarkt in Trier and to enjoy a spectacular BMX show with Red Bull professional Jorge ‘Viki’ Gómez. From 20:30 hrs onwards, all the participants in the rally will drive off the starting podium with their cars. The large illumination of the Porta Nigra will add to the unique atmosphere.
Prominent rally guests range from Revolverheld to VfL Wolfsburg
This year, once again, the ADAC Rallye Deutschland is attracting numerous prominent visitors to Trier and its region. A live performance by the band Revolverheld is one of the highlights. The four red-blooded musicians from Hamburg will stage an exclusive live concert at the Panzerplatte on Saturday (August 22, 2015). The one-hour concert at the central Volkswagen stage will start at 14:00 hrs. Several other prominent guests have announced their presence at the rally as well. Among others, the Volkswagen Motorsport team will have Klaus Allofs and Dieter Hecking from Supercup winner, VfL Wolfsburg, among its visitors. Together with some players, they will be coming to Trier straight after their Bundesliga match against 1. FC Köln on Saturday to watch the ADAC Rallye Deutschland.

Anyone who does not yet have a rally pass need not miss out on the ADAC Rallye Deutschland. The rally pass can be purchased at a price of €69.00. In the ADAC offices in Trier, Koblenz, Idar Oberstein and Saabrücken as well as in Trier at the Servicepark Trier (Messegelände) and the Tourist Information office at the Porta Nigra, tickets can also be acquired. Moreover, tickets can also be bought throughout the ADAC Rallye Deutschland at all ticket sales booths and information points. The tickets are available at €15.00 in the spectator areas of the individual Special Stages. Single tickets for the Arena Panzerplatte Special Stage (Saturday, 22 August 2015) with its particularly comprehensive show and supporting programme including the Revolverheld concert are available at €20.00. One-day tickets for the Service Park are €5.00.
