DEKRA becomes new series partner of ADAC Formula 4

  • ADAC and DEKRA agree two-year partnership
  • DEKRA logo on all ADAC Formula 4 racing cars

Munich. DEKRA is set to become the latest series partner to join the ADAC Formula 4 for the 2015 season. The ADAC has agreed a two-year collaboration with one of the world’s leading expert organisations. The DEKRA name will appear with immediate effect on the start number holders of all ADAC Formula 4 racing cars and at race weekends on the backdrop set up for the awards ceremony. In addition, the DEKRA logo will be incorporated into all official printing matter relating to ADAC Formula 4 which commences its debut season this year.

Clemens Klinke, Member of the Board at DEKRA SE with responsibility for Business Unit Automotive: “We are pleased to be involved with the ADAC Formula 4. Bringing on junior drivers has been important to us for many years. In the past, we have also supported Michael Schumacher and are currently assisting Nico Hülkenberg.”

Lars Soutschka, ADAC Director Motorsport and Classic: “In DEKRA, we have gained another strong partner to support the ADAC Formula 4. As an international testing organisation, DEKRA values safety. That is also one of the most important factors for ADAC Formula 4 which complies with the FIA’s high safety standards, so we are a perfect match.”

DEKRA is one of the world’s leading expert organisations, active in over 50 countries on all five continents. Around 35,000 staff are committed to ensuring safety, quality and protection of the environment in the long-term.

For many years, ADAC’s programmes for training junior single-seater racing drivers have been the starting point for future motor racing stars. In the past, Formula 1 stars including four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel, world championship runner-up Nico Rosberg, Nico Hülkenberg and Ralf Schumacher, plus DTM aces such as Martin Tomczyk, Pascal Wehrlein and Timo Glock all began their careers in ADAC series for young open-wheel racing drivers.
