- Price moves to top of table with victory in sprint race
- Hasse claims first win for Lamborghini
- Evtushenko takes victory in spectacular Community Cup race
Munich. The penultimate race day of the 2025 DTM eSports Championship at the Red Bull Ring really shook up the overall standings – and set the stage for a dramatic finale at the Hockenheimring. No fewer than four sim racers go into the final event with title aspirations still intact: Isaac Price (privateer), Lucas Müller (Falken Simracing Team), Florian Hasse (Dörr eSports) and defending champion Tim Jarschel (Falken Simracing Team). Price scored a win and a second place to move back to the top of the table ahead of Müller. Meanwhile, P2 in the sprint and victory in the main race catapulted Hasse into third place overall, with Jarschel dropping back to fourth. Just 24 points separate the four title contenders ahead of the finale.
Sprint race: Price takes commanding lights-to-flag victory
After a difficult race at the Sachsenring, Isaac Price bounced back emphatically at the Red Bull Ring. The Brit secured pole position ahead of Hasse, Manuel Vera (Alien Motorsport) and Alessandro Ottaviani (R8G Esports). Falken drivers Jarschel and Müller started from row three of the grid. Price then proved to be unstoppable in the subsequent sprint race, leading from start to finish to claim a commanding victory. Hasse and Vera joined him on the podium. The battle for fourth place between Jarschel and Ottaviani provided some real excitement. Jarschel was able to gain the upper hand temporarily, but Ottaviani hit back with two minutes remaining, leaving the title contender to settle for fifth place. Müller came home sixth.
Hasse keeps title hopes alive with victory in main race
The main race was all about Florian Hasse. He secured pole position, with Price also starting from the front row again. They were followed by Ottaviani, Jarschel, Vera and Müller. After a clean start, the field initially settled into the same order - until Ottaviani spun and dropped to the back of the field. Jarschel climbed into third place, with Müller fourth. While Price and Müller came in early for their mandatory pit stop, Jarschel and Hasse waited a few laps. Despite the different strategies, Hasse remained out in front and went on to emphatically claim the first Lamborghini victory in the history of the DTM eSports Championship. Price was runner-up, Jarschel third. Müller took fourth place.
Anticipation ahead of finale
With 231 points to his name, Isaac Price travels to the grand finale at the Hockenheimring as championship leader. Müller follows with 224 points, with Hasse lurking on 213. Jarschel, on 207 points, still has an outside chance of defending his title.
The Pole Position Award is also still up for grabs: Jarschel and Price currently lead the way with three fastest qualifying times each. The winner receives a set of BBS rims. Hasse won the Fastest Lap Award with a time of 1:28.111 minutes and can now enjoy his new JBL Flip Essential 2 speaker in a DTM design.
Isaac Price: "I have tried to consistently score points this season - and that has now paid dividends. Today's first race was perfect. I had some damage after the pit stop in race two, which could have cost me the win. The finale is definitely going to be exciting - but great fun too."
Florian Hasse: "I am really happy with the day. In the first race, I could not get into the slipstream, which was frustrating. P2 and P1 sounds super, but I don't know whether that will be enough points in the end."
Tim Jarschel: "I could not have done much more today. The BoP really affected the Porsche. We simply did not have the speed on the straights. It will be hard to win the title - particularly after the disconnect and my injury at the start of the season. Let's see what we can do in Hockenheim. A podium would be great."
Community Cup: Spectacular right down to the final lap
The Community Cup was also a lively affair: Tomás Ribeiro (privateer) and Alexey Evtushenko (Tomáš Enge Simracing RCL25) produced some thrilling battles for the lead. After the lead had changed hands on several occasions, Ribeiro attacked a little too brashly, hit the rear of Evtushenko's car, and dropped back to third place. Ribeiro then launched a remarkable fightback, culminating with an overtake on second-placed Kornél Berkes (Urb4n Simracing) on the final lap. Evtushenko had a brief moment of concern on the final lap, but recovered from a mistake to take victory with a lead of over two seconds.
Hockenheimring: The grand finale awaits
Four title contenders, several awards still up for grabs, and an iconic circuit: the grand finale of the 2025 DTM eSports Championship on 18th July at the Hockenheimring promises to deliver more drama right down to the final turn.
