- Maro Engel retrospectively named winner of race ten of the season
Munich. A new result has been announced for race ten of the DTM season, which took place on 26th July 2026 at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Following the race, various car parts were subjected to a thorough investigation by the technical scrutineering team. It was determined that the winning car – the #63 Lamborghini Temerario GT3 of TGI Team by GRT – had used wheel bearings, which did not comply with DTM homologation rules. As a result, the car was disqualified on 13th August by officials of the German Motorsport Association (DMSB). All the positions below the disqualified car are promoted accordingly in the final classification.
Maro Engel (Mercedes-AMG Team Ravenol) is consequently classified as the winner of Sunday’s race in Oschersleben in a Mercedes-AMG GT3. Thomas Preining (Manthey) is promoted to second place. Marco Wittmann (Schubert Motorsport) is listed as third in a BMW M4 GT3.
TGI Team by GRT has announced that it will appeal against the decision of the officials.
