- International field with three champions and impressive newcomers
- DTM expands its event platform and off-track entertainment
- Tickets still start at € 49 – free admission for under 16s
Munich. High-class sport on the track and excellent entertainment in the paddock: the official pre-season test at the Red Bull Ring, a good ten days before the opening round in Styria from 24th to 26th April, offered more than a glimpse of what fans can look forward to in the 2026 DTM season. An international field, featuring top drivers, eight premium manufacturers and an exclusive new tyre from Pirelli promise to deliver spectacular motorsport action. Away from the track, the DTM will entertain fans with concerts, an even better Fan Zone, and a programme for the whole family. Tickets are once again fan and family-friendly this year, with prices starting at € 49. Admission is free for under 16s when accompanied by an adult. ProSieben is broadcasting all the races live on free-to-air TV.
Three champions and strong newcomers
In a high-class field with drivers from eleven nations, three DTM champions go in pursuit of another title: Mirko Bortolotti (I/TGI Team by GRT) in a Lamborghini, Porsche racer Thomas Preining (Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo/Manthey), and Marco Wittmann (Fürth) in the BMW M4 GT3 Evo of Schubert Motorsport. Wittmann's team-mate Kelvin van der Linde (ZA), runner-up in the 2024 DTM, is hungry to win his first title on his return to the series. The same can be said of Mercedes-AMG driver Lucas Auer, who finished second in the championship in 2025. Fellow Mercedes-AMG man Maro Engel (Monaco) celebrates reaching a milestone this year: the experienced racer lines up in his tenth season in the DTM.
Lamborghini premiere – Upgrades for Ferrari, Ford and Porsche
The new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 is making its debut on the DTM stage this year. The new car follows in the footsteps of the Huracán GT3 Evo2 and will be run by Red Bull Team Abt and TGI Team by GRT. Ferrari, Ford and Porsche line up with further-developed versions of their tried-and-tested cars.
New Pirelli tyre "Made in Germany" and synthetic fuel
Tyre partner Pirelli has developed a new tyre exclusively for the DTM this year. The slick is perfectly tailored to the needs of the DTM cars and is produced in Pirelli's German plant in Breuberg, Hesse, one of the most modern of the group's 18 production sites around the world. All DTM cars will run on the 100% sustainable fuel "DTM Pro Climate", helping to reduce CO₂ emissions.
"The DTM lines up with a top-class field this year. The exclusive new DTM tyre from Pirelli is an important element in the development of the series. The quality of the drivers and teams is extraordinary. We can look forward to another exciting season," says DTM Managing Director Thomas Voss.
ProSieben to show all races live
ProSieben is broadcasting all of this season's races live and in full on free-to-air TV, and streamed on Joyn. The ProSieben.Sat1 super streamer is showing more DTM than ever:
Joyn is streaming Fan-TV from the racetrack all day on each Saturday and Sunday. The races and qualifying will also be shown in a livestream at
ran.de, on
ServusTV ON, and on the
DTM YouTube channel.
The event programme and DTM Fan Zone have been expanded. Visitors to the DTM at the Dekra Lausitzring and the final weekend in Hockenheim can look forward to concerts from "Dick Brave" alias Sasha on the DTM Powerstage presented by Pirelli. New attractions await in the Fan Zone, as well as Europe's biggest ball pool and an action course. "The DTM is for the whole family. The percentage of children and young people is roughly 30 percent, and the DTM is attracting more female fans all the time. We are adding even more entertainment away from the track in the future, and are consistently expanding the event platform this year, in order to offer visitors a better experience," says new DTM Managing Director Claudia Wagner, who joined Thomas Voss at the helm of the racing series at the start of the month. "We have expanded the offering on TV and streaming services. This year, the DTM can be seen live or replayed in full in roughly 200 territories around the world."
Strong racing series on the support programme
Visitors can look forward to an exciting support programme at every DTM race weekend. As well as the ADAC GT Masters and ADAC GT4 Germany, the BMW M2 Cup will also be a regular this year. Meanwhile, the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland also has a permanent place on the DTM stage.
