DTM adds the iRacing DTM Series to its sim racing activities

• DTM now also available on the world’s biggest sim racing platform
• New iRacing DTM Series to feature eight community events

Munich. The DTM is expanding its involvement in sim racing: fans of virtual motorsport can now experience the DTM on the iRacing platform. The world’s biggest sim racing platform will host community races ahead of each of the eight DTM events in the 2026 season. The DTM on iRacing is in addition to the existing sim racing offering on the RaceRoom platform, on which the DTM eSports Championship will again be held in 2026.

With over 350,000 registered players, iRacing is one of the largest and most popular providers of motorsport simulations in the world. The platform is particularly aimed at friends of realistic hardcore racing simulations, who can test themselves here in an open global ranking system. With the DTM, iRacing has acquired another high-profile new partner, alongside its existing cooperations with NASCAR, IndyCar and other racing series.

“There is huge interest in the DTM among sim racers – we are seeing that both in online races and the simulators at DTM events. We are pleased to make the virtual DTM accessible to an even larger circle of sim racers with iRacing. As well as integrating the simulation, the plans for our long-term cooperation also include joint marketing and community activities,” says ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss.

The iRacing DTM Series will always line up at 20:00 on the Thursday before a DTM race. The start times have been selected to allow sim racers all over the world to take part. The iRacing community will have its first opportunity to go racing in the DTM at the virtual Red Bull Ring on 23rd April. The season then continues with stops in Zandvoort, Spa, and Brands Hatch before heading to Oschersleben for the second half — followed by the Nürburgring, the Sachsenring, and the grand finale at the Hockenheimring.

Anyone registered on the platform can take part in the new virtual racing series, and bring the DTM action into their own home. All official liveries from the 2025 DTM season will shortly be available for iRacing via the renowned “Trading Paints” platform.

The race format follows that of the successful DTM concept: 55-minute races with pit stops. This promises to provide thrilling battles and exciting head-to-head racing, just like the real DTM.
