- Racing team lines up with two new Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo
- Works driver Preining and newcomer Feller behind the wheel
- Sights set on top spot: "We have not rested on our laurels"
Munich. Manthey will contest the 2026 DTM season with a top-class Porsche contingent. The team from Meuspath lines up with two new 565-hp Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo and will call upon the services of Porsche works driver Thomas Preining (A) and newcomer Ricardo Feller (CH). Having won the Driver, Team and Rookie competitions last year, Manthey comes into the 2026 DTM with clearly defined goals. The season kicks off with a home outing for Preining, who comes from the Austrian city of Linz: for the first time, the Red Bull Ring is the venue for the opening two races from 24th to 26th April 2026.
With eight race wins to his name so far, Preining is one of the most successful drivers of the current DTM era. This season sees the 2023 champion enter his fourth year with Manthey. "Over the years, the cooperation with the team has consistently become tighter and the processes are now really well established," says Preining. "In the past three years, we have shown that we can consistently challenge for the title. You can never predict whether everything will work out well in the end, but I am confident, am really enjoying working with the team and in the DTM in general, and am looking forward to the first race."
Feller is new to the DTM line-up. The Swiss made his debut for the team at the 24-hour race in Daytona in January, and comes with a wealth of experience from four DTM seasons, during which time he has celebrated three race wins. "I am thrilled to still be part of the DTM. The switch to Manthey is a dream come true for me," says the 25-year-old. "I believe that every Porsche driver would love to race for this team, and the success it has achieved - two titles in three DTM seasons - speaks for itself. Regardless of actual results, I am particularly impressed by the team itself - the people and the level of professionalism, for which Manthey is renowned. I am confident that we will enjoy a strong season together."
After an extremely successful 2025 season, with three race wins and three titles, Manthey is looking to challenge at the front of the field again in the coming season. "2025 was an extraordinarily successful year for us in the DTM. However, we have not rested on our laurels. We want to start the new season just as well prepared and motivated. I am excited to see what we can achieve together with Thomas and Ricardo," says Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH.
