Munich. The DTM will again be supporting the Wings for Life World Run next year, and lines up with "Team DTM". As of this year, the Wings for Life foundation is the official charity partner of the DTM and is committed to finding cures for spinal cord injuries. Fans can register now at
wingsforlifeworldrun.com for the largest running event in the world on 10th May 2026, and can virtually
join the DTM team.
The 2026 Wings for Life World Run starts at 13:00 on 10th May and features an impressive and unique concept. The event starts at the same time for all the runners around the world - whether at one of the seven flagship runs or virtually all over the planet via the Wings for Life World Run App. Instead of a classic finish line, there is a so-called catcher car, which reels in the participants, either digitally or physically at the aforementioned events. It is not about fastest times, but about coming together for a good cause – regardless of whether you are a top athlete, hobby runner or wheelchair user. The start fee for the Wings for Life World Run is € 25 in the app, with 100 percent of that going directly into spinal cord research.
The Wings for Life foundation was founded in 2004 and supports research projects around the world as they strive to find cures for spinal cord injuries. The goal is to achieve long-term cures through scientific progress, and to provide new prospects for those affected. Since the inaugural run in 2014, over 1.8 million people have taken part in the Wings for Life World Run and have raised a total of € 60.53 million.
