- The DTM is a new partner of the spinal cord research foundation
- Global charity event: Wings for Life World Run on 4th May with "Team DTM"
- Fans can run for a good cause with DTM stars in "Team DTM"
Munich. The DTM is supporting the Wings for Life foundation as its new charity partner in the 2025 season. Wings for Life is committed to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries and supports top-class research projects and clinical studies around the world. The DTM will also be involved in the highlight event for Wings for Life - the "Wings for Life World Run". A "Team DTM" will take part in the charity run, which is held worldwide on 4th May, allowing DTM fans to run alongside the stars of the DTM.
The Wings for Life World Run takes place at 13:00 on 4th May. Those interested can either attend a Flagship Run or get involved virtually via the Wings for Life World Run App. "Team DTM" is also taking part in the global charity run. DTM fans can register via the Wings for Life World Run App and join the team, in order to run together with the DTM drivers for a good cause – whether alone, in groups, or connected virtually with other fans. The Wings for Life World Run begins at the same time for all runners around the world, regardless of the location and individual performance levels. Instead of a classic finish line, there will be a so-called Catcher Car, which gradually reels in the participants, virtually or at an organised event. Once a runner has been overtaken by the Catcher Car, they are deemed a finisher. The fee to take part in the run is € 25, with 100% of that going directly into spinal cord research.
"Wings for Life is dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries, a very important issue, which the DTM is very happy to support. The Wings for Life World Run brings together athletes from all over the world and gives every DTM fan the opportunity to do their bit and run for a good cause as part of Team DTM. We are pleased to be involved and hope that many DTM fans will join Team DTM and run for those who no longer can on 4th May. We also want to carry this sense of community into the DTM and support cutting-edge research together with our fans," says ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss.
The Wings for Life foundation was founded in 2004 and supports research projects around the world as they strive to find cures for spinal cord injuries. Every euro from the entry fee for the run, and from any donations, flows directly into spinal cord research. The goal is to achieve long-term cures through scientific progress, and to provide new prospects for those affected. More information and the registration for the run on 4th May can be found at
