- Spectacular FIA ETRC truck races complement the DTM programme
- Sustainable racing series has used climate-friendly biofuel for five years
Munich. Round two of this season's DTM throws up a special highlight for fans at the Dekra Lausitzring (23rd to 25th May): for the first time, the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship (Goodyear FIA ETRC) will feature on the event programme. As well as the 600hp DTM racers, the racing trucks, which generate twice as much horsepower, will also produce thrilling battles on the track. The truck drivers will battle it out for victory in four races. With the European Truck Racing Championship, the opening round of this season's ADAC GT Masters and the Prototype Cup Germany, visitors to the DTM can look forward to a real festival of horsepower at the Lausitzring. Tickets for the DTM at the Lausitzring are available online at
dtm.com. Ticket prices start at € 59 and admission is free for under 16s.
The Lausitzring weekend is the second event of the 2025 European Truck Racing Championship. As well as exciting racing, another feature of the series, like the DTM, is its strong commitment to sustainability. Since 2021, the powerful semi-trailer trucks have been powered exclusively by climate-friendly HVO100 biofuel, which comes from renewable sources and reduces CO2 emissions by up to 90 percent. As such, the European Championship fits perfectly into the sustainability concept of the DTM, which also lines up with a sustainable fuel in 2025.
ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss welcomes the debut of the European Truck Racing Championship on the DTM platform: "We are looking forward to a spectacular motorsport weekend at the Dekra Lausitzring. With the DTM, the ADAC GT Masters, the Prototype Cup Germany and the impressive racing trucks, we are offering visitors an impressive range of racing, which they really do not want to miss."
