TGI Lamborghini Team by GRT to field two works drivers in the DTM

• Austrian team lines up with two Lamborghini racers
• Team principal Grasser: "I expect us to regularly finish in the top five"

Munich. TGI Lamborghini Team by GRT will face the challenge of the 2025 DTM season with an exciting line-up. Lamborghini works drivers Luca Engstler (Kempten) and Jordan Pepper from South Africa will be at the wheel of the two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 for the Austrian team. Since entering the DTM in 2022, Gottfried Grasser's outfit has won three races and finished on the podium on eight occasions. The team, which enjoys the support of Lamborghini Squadra Corse, is looking to add more success in the coming season.

Engstler comes into his third year in the DTM brimming with confidence. The 24-year-old bookended last season with victories at the opening round in Oschersleben and at the finale in Hockenheim, and was recently promoted into the squad of Lamborghini works drivers. "I am delighted to be starting in the DTM for another season. And I am incredibly proud and happy to be a works driver for such a fantastic brand as Lamborghini. I obviously hope that we can follow on where we left off last year," says Engstler, who races in the trademark colours of his partner Liqui Moly.

TGI Lamborghini Team by GRT has acquired an insider's tip in the form of Pepper. The man from Johannesburg has raced internationally for Bentley and Lamborghini in the past, winning titles and races in North America and Australia. Pepper made his DTM debut last year at the Sachsenring. "This is a dream come true for me," says the 28-year-old on his seat in the DTM. "Last year, I was given a little taster with my guest start. From that moment on, I knew that I would pull out all the stops to become a regular in the DTM. I am now very motivated and can hardly wait for the season-opener in Oschersleben."

Team principal Gottfried Grasser is feeling optimistic: "I am really pleased that we are able to line up in our fourth year in the DTM. This is the first time that we will be contesting the full DTM season with two Lamborghini works drivers. With our strong overall package, I definitely expect to regularly finish in the top five - preferably even higher. I believe that everyone who is competing in the DTM wakes up in the morning wanting to be champion. However, our focus will initially be on the first six races, in which we want to consistently pick up plenty of points. After that, we'll see what happens." The organisation of the series also plays a big role for TGI Lamborghini Team by GRT. "With the DTM, we are able to offer our partners a platform that is constantly developing and growing. Plus, with the introduction of the innovative and renewable fuel, the DTM is a figurehead for the future. It is showcasing a desperately needed alternative for the industry," says Grasser.
