Munich. DTM fans can look forward to a spectacular season: this year’s eight events will all host an attractive programme of motorsport. The ADAC GT Masters will showcase its quality on the high-profile platform on four occasions, while ADAC GT4 Germany will add to the drama at six DTM race weekends. Spectators will be treated to striking LMP3 racers in the Prototype Cup Germany, while the Porsche Carrera Cup and the BMW M2 Cup serve up a feast of fast-paced one-make cup action. Appropriately for the 40th anniversary season, the DTM Classic will be in town with its rolling motorsport museum. The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will be the only Formula series to grace this year’s DTM. Rounding off the support programme is the NXT Gen Cup – the world’s first fully-electric junior touring car series, which will line-up at on at least two DTM weekends.
Tickets for all the DTM events in 2024 are available from just € 39 at
dtm.com. Admission is free for under 16s when accompanied by an adult. ADAC members benefit from an extra ten percent discount when purchasing online in advance. All ticket holders receive free access to the paddock and the DTM Fan Area.
ADAC GT Masters
The ADAC GT Masters kicks off its 18th season with a new alignment and a host of talented drivers at the DTM season-opener in Oschersleben (26th to 28th April). Established premium manufacturers Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche are joined on the grid by two world-famous sports car brands in Aston Martin and Ferrari. A new class structure in the ADAC GT Masters will place far greater emphasis on talented youngsters and amateur drivers in the future. Two drivers will still share each car, with a prize purse of more than € 570,000 up for grabs.
ADAC GT4 Germany
Now in its sixth season, ADAC GT4 Germany will hold all twelve of its races on the DTM support programme. Eleven teams with 24 cars from five manufacturers will go head to head this year – complemented by attractive guest starters. The opening round of the series takes place at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Two-time champion Mike David Ortmann, who is now a works driver for Aston Martin Racing, is living proof that ADAC GT4 Germany is a perfect springboard to a career in motorsport.
Prototype Cup Germany
The Prototype Cup Germany thrills fans as the only series for Le Mans prototypes in Germany. Spectators will experience the series, which is organised by the ADAC and Creventic, at three DTM events. The event at the DEKRA Lausitzring (24th to 26th May) and the Nürburgring (16th to 18th August) will both host the Prototype Cup Germany. The season-finale is at the Sachsenring (6th to 9th September) – the first time Le Mans prototypes will have gone racing at the challenging, undulating circuit.
DTM Classic
DTM Classic will take fans on a glorious journey back in time. Many different classes of GT and touring cars will be represented at the DTM event at the Norisring (5th to 7th July). Spectators can look forward to a colourful selection of historic highlights from four decades of the DTM. Some of the stars of yesteryear will also line up in the two races at the Franconian Monaco.
BMW M2 Cup
As a new addition to the family of series under the umbrella of the ADAC, the BMW M2 Cup features a revised concept this year. BMW M2 CS Racing cars are eligible in three categories: the versions with 450 hp and 365 hp, as well as the 340-hp BMW M240i Racing. The series is the perfect place to start a career in GT racing. The BMW M2 Cup comprises five rounds, each of which will take place at DTM events. First up is the DEKRA Lausitzring.
Porsche one-make cups
The Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland joins the DTM programme at six events. With 25 drivers permanently registered in their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, and more than 12,000 hp on the starting grid, the one-make cup guarantees spectacular racing right down to the final corner. The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux will also set up its tents as part of the DTM support programme for the race weekend at Circuit Zandvoort (7th to 9th June) on the North Sea coast of the Netherlands.
NXT Gen Cup
The NXT Gen Cup promises fully-electric racing. The Swedish series sees drivers line up in LRT NXT 1 cars, which have an electric powertrain, generate up to 230 hp and are based on the road-legal Mini Cooper SE. The NXT Gen Cup is primarily aimed at young racing drivers and offers talented youngsters an attractive entry-level platform. The NXT Gen Cup starts at the Norisring and in Hockenheim, with plans for appearances at more DTM events.
Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine
The only Formula series on the 2024 DTM programme is the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. This year’s calendar features ten rounds in eight countries. The DTM hosts the Formula 3 championship at Circuit Zandvoort, where the drivers will battle it out for victory in two races in the cockpit of the F3 T-318 chassis from Tatuus.
ADAC Historic Cup Ost
A trip back into the history of motor racing in the former GDR awaits visitors at the Lausitzring. With its vintage Formula and touring cars, the ADAC Historic Cup Ost is sure to stir up plenty of Ostalgie – nostalgia for East Germany.
