Munich. The DTM will be even more diverse in 2024: as the popular racing series celebrates its 40th birthday, the field will expand to include seven different manufacturers. For the first time in the history of the DTM, cult British brand McLaren will contest a full season. The McLaren 720 GT3 Evo will come up against some stiff opposition in the 2024 DTM, in the form of Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, and defending champion Porsche. The 40th season of the DTM gets underway from 26th to 28th April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. All races will be broadcast live in Germany on ProSieben. Tickets and vouchers for the 2024 DTM are available online at

“McLaren is a spectacular new addition to the DTM. Fans can look forward to seven manufacturers in the 2024 DTM. There will be a strong field of drivers too: defending champion Thomas Preining and his closest rivals Mirko Bortolotti and Ricardo Feller have already confirmed that they will be back for more in 2024. We can also look forward to more news ahead of an exciting 2024 DTM season over the coming weeks,” says ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss.
The super sports car from England, with Formula 1 genes, looks spectacular and boasts impressive technology. The mid-engine sports car is the only car in the field to be built on a carbon chassis. McLaren have also gone in a different direction under the carbon-fibre bodywork: the 720S GT3 Evo is the only car in the DTM to be powered by a four-litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine. Information on McLaren’s team and drivers will follow shortly.
McLaren will take to the track with its opposition from Germany and Italy for the first time at the DTM’s official pre-season test in Hockenheim, where all the teams will prepare for the start of the season at a joint test on 9th and 10th April.
