- Kelvin and Sheldon van der Linde, and Laurin Heinrich take on darts world championship semi-finalist Gabriel Clemens
- Ayhancan Güven and Franck Perera showed their accuracy against basketball Bundesliga team NINERS Chemnitz
Hohenstein-Ernstthal. Ahead of round six of the season at the Sachsenring (8th to 10th September), four DTM stars swapped their powerful race cars for arrows and basketballs on Thursday. At the German Darts Open in Jena, which forms part of the European Darts Tour, South Africans Kelvin and Sheldon van der Linde joined Laurin Heinrich (Würzburg) on the oche to demonstrate their accuracy. The trio took part in a show match with Gabriel Clemens, who caused a shock at the start of the year when he became the first German to reach the semi-final of the darts world championship. ProSieben will reveal who came out on top as part of their live coverage of the DTM race, which begins on Saturday at 13:00.
In Chemnitz, Ayhancan Güven (TR) and Franck Perera (F) showed their throwing skills with basketballs. The two DTM drivers visited basketball Bundesliga team NINERS Chemnitz prior to their friendly against the Rostock Seawolves. The duo tried their hand at finding the basket: Porsche driver Güven teamed up with center Kevin Yebo to take on Lamborghini works driver Perera and German international and Chemnitz captain Jonas Richter.
