Central European Rally 2025: Great Benefits for National Teams

  • Compact format reduces accommodation and travel costs
  • Rally routes optimised: Fewer transitional kilometres, more kilometres of special stages
  • Exclusive advantage: 40 percent discount on entry fees for national licence holders

Munich. For the Central European Rally (CER) from 16 to 19 October 2025, the FIA World Rally Championship is stopping off in the heart of Europe – and many national drivers and teams from Germany, Austria, and Czechia can benefit from their home advantage. With a more compact format compared with previous years, an attractive discount on entry fees, and flexible refuelling options, the organisers are making competing in a top-class international environment even more attractive. For all the details on entry fees and conditions of participation, see the supplementary regulations on the official homepage at centraleuropeanrally.eu/competitors.

For the first time, the Central European Rally 2025 will be using the central service park in Passau for the duration of the event, making it the focal point of the action on all four days of the rally. This eliminates the need for the time-consuming and costly relocation of the teams’ service crews, meaning that there will be lower transport costs, fewer hotel changes, more focus on what is most important: the special stages. And, now at 307 km, they cover a bit more ground than last year. This is a noticeable increase in efficiency for national participants in particular – and a definite feeling of home advantage in the battle with the world-class rally drivers because the logistical processes become simpler and more predictable.

More Compact, Faster, More Focussed
The route has also been adjusted with participants in mind. Compared with last year, the transitional kilometres have been reduced by 7.5 percent. With an overall distance of 1,468 kilometres, 307 kilometres are now allocated to the special stages – a sign of the commitment to sport and the compact structure. Meaning that the rally offers optimum conditions: more competition on the stages and less time on the liaison stages compared with previous years.

Flexible Fuel Solution for Privateer Teams
In addition to the sporting challenges, efficiency is also a factor. Which is why non-priority competitors can revert to conventional refuelling in 2025. This means that they are independent and can use their usual fuel. This regulation is an important advantage for privateers and smaller teams in particular, allowing them to compete in the field of the world’s elite cost-effectively.

40 Percent Discount on Entry Fees as Clear Signal
Particularly attractive: National licence holders from Germany, Austria, and Czechia receive a 40 percent discount on entry fees. The organisers are thereby taking a clear stand in favour of regional entrants and are pushing the doors wide open. For many teams this will make the Central European Rally an affordable home event with an international flair – and the perfect stage to measure themselves against the world’s elite in front of a home crowd.
