München. It is roughly a week to the start of the Central European Rally – the penultimate round of this season’s FIA World Rally Championship (17th to 20th October 2024), at which the title race is set to come to a head. Anyone wishing to follow the battle between championship leader Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), his team-mate Ott Tänak, and Toyota spearhead Sébastien Ogier can do so through an extensive range of information sources. Like the organisers of the CER, the FIA WRC is ensuring that the visitors to the rally and those following from afar are always up to speed. Mobile apps allow fans to find their way to the 40 plus spectator points – and to easily travel together and share lifts. A central information source is the event homepage at
centraleuropeanrally.eu, which offers news and visitor information, as well as links to all other important offerings.
On the Internet: Information, news and standings – always up-to-date
The official homepage at
centraleuropeanrally.eu is not only the place for all key visitor information in the run-up to the CER, such as itineraries, entry lists, spectator points and advance ticket sales. During the event, statements from the drivers, reports, photo galleries and results can also be found here. There will also be a big focus on the local drivers starting in the Rally2 and Rally3 fields. The
fiawrc.com homepage also offers results and standings in real time, as well as any news and information on the WRC.
Programmes available from € 5
One information medium that is traditionally popular with many fans is the printed
programme. It includes maps and information on all the spectator points and stages, as well as plenty more information on the Central European Rally and the World Rally Championship. The programme is available for € 5 and can be purchased at the spectator points on the special stages, at the merchandise stand in the Service Park, at the ticket pick-up points in Bad Griesbach and Klatovy, and at all participating MaierKorduletsch fuel stations in the event region.
Mobile apps and a great competition
The Central European Rally is supporting fans in the rally region with two excellent sources of information. One matter very close to the organisers’ heart is the sharing of lifts, as this relieves pressure on transport routes, reduces the carbon footprint of the event, and has a positive influence on the parking situation. The perfect tool for this is the
ADAC Pendlernetz app, which is available free of charge for smartphone and tablet. Last year, the FIA awarded the app its environmental prize. Those who connect and share lifts with other visitors have the opportunity to win attractive prizes: every day, the app users go into a draw, with the winners informed directly via the app. The prizes on offer include travel vouchers, tickets for the 2025 CER, and fuel vouchers. Another impressive source of information for visitors is the
TW Sportsoft app. This is also available free of charge for all notable end devices and offers maps and detailed information on all spectator points. It also includes direct links to the ADAC Pendlernetz app, ticket information and much more.
