Central European Rally offers spectacular spectator points with great service

Munich. The Central European Rally from 17 to 20 October is throwing the doors wide open for visitors: With the overview map for the motorsport highlight in Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany an important planning aid has been published, which many fans have been waiting for full of anticipation. On each of the four rally days, spectators can expect highlights that promise spectacular motorsport fun. The overview of the location of the routes and spectator points that has now been published provides an initial preview, which will of course be added to: Until around four weeks before the start of the World Rally Championship round, all other important details about the visitor service will be successively made available digitally. Until then, the optimised app for mobile devices will also be available as an important tool, providing all details such as directions and results at any time. Fans' anticipation of their visit to the Central European Rally is growing - and the rally experience will be even more comfortable this year than at the premiere in 2023, thanks to a number of optimisations by the organisers. For example, the advance information for spectators will be more detailed than last year and will be made available free of charge on various platforms in advance. In addition to the homepage, there will also be an app for free download that will make it easy to find the spectator points. Visitors on site will benefit from improved signage, starting on the main access roads and extending to the car parks, which have also been expanded compared to 2023. An important element continues to be the urgent appeal to visitors to form car pools. Information and download links for the ‘ADAC Pendlernetz’ mobile app are also available on the Central European Rally website.

Highlights every day
Each of the three countries involved offers its own spectator highlights. After the start in Prague and the Super Special Stage at the nearby Velká Chuchle racecourse, it is the Klatovy Special Stage in the Czech Republic that will attract the crowds. There will be not only large spectator areas, but the route also offers spectacular images, for example when specially constructed obstacles have to be negotiated at rally speed. The stage will also be very popular because there are three runs on the programme on Thursday evening and Friday. On Saturday, the ‘Beyond Borders’ special stage is a hot tip. On the Austrian side of the cross-border route, fans can look forward to a hilltop jump that can be seen perfectly from a spectator point on a slope: a true rally arena! On the final Sunday, the decision on champagne or seltzer will be made on two special stages in Germany with a special visitor service. The ‘Knaus Tabbert am Hochwald’ special stage and the ‘Passauer Land’ power stage will be connected by a shuttle bus. A shuttle service will be set up from the central car parks and between the two stages so that fans can enjoy all the action.

‘Full service’: spectator points offer comfortable and safe rally attendance
Guests can look forward to a comprehensive service at the 18 special stages. This begins with the generously signposted approach to the car parks and continues at the special stages. There, the spectator areas are clearly marked, allowing a good view of the action. The zones are often so spacious that they invite spectators to view the rally cars from different positions. Ticket control will be even more straightforward than last year: large shoulder tickets will ensure good visibility of access authorisation and therefore quick waving through at the entry points. In co-operation with local clubs, there will be catering facilities at all spectator points, and sanitary facilities will also be provided. A presenter will be available at two spectator points per special stage to provide additional information and entertainment. Two video walls will also be in use on each rally day, positioned at selected top spectator points.

Focus on sustainability
The organisers also have sustainability in mind, particularly in the area of spectator guidance. This includes, for example, the targeted promotion of carpooling via the mobile phone app used. Another important component of the concept is the targeted promotion of inclusion. For this reason, there will be at least one spectator point for each special stage that is particularly suitable for visitors with disabilities. This includes suitable car parks for mobility-impaired rally fans as well as wheelchair-accessible spectator areas.
