Central European Rally forms part of the WRC again in 2025

The pinnacle of rallying is remaining true to the Central European Rally: the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) has included the event in its calendar for 2025 and will visit Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic from 16th to 19th October. The schedule will again feature the spectacular asphalt stages that caused such a stir when the Central European Rally made its world championship debut last year. The unique concept of the multi-country rally in the heart of Europe has seen the Central European Rally impress not only its visitors, but also officials of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and the WRC promoter, who have recognised the efforts of the international organisational team by including the event on the WRC calendar at this early stage in proceedings. As such, fans can already look forward to the spectacular displays from the mighty rally cars in the future. The cars transfer well over 500 hp to the asphalt roads when they call upon the combined power of the 1.6-litre turbo and the plug-in hybrid drivetrain at the same time. The FIA World Motor Sport Council resolved in June to continue this technical basis, which is perfectly suited to the concept of the Central European Rally. The combustion engine aspect also has sustainability in mind in the WRC, as the pinnacle of rallying uses 100 percent fossil-free fuel.
