- The Central European Rally offers a great platform for volunteering
- Easy application via online portal from German Volunteers
- Roughly 1000 international volunteers to support the new event
Munich. When the Central European Rally takes place from 26th to 29th October, it will not only attract elite international rally drivers to the border triangle between Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. It will also bring together volunteers from all over the world. They will be on hand to ensure the penultimate round of this season’s FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) runs fairly, safely and smoothly. Volunteering opportunities range from securing the route along one of the 18 special stages or helping in the Service Park, to assisting at the start or finish ceremony. In total, roughly 1,000 volunteers will assemble for the event. And although they do receive some compensation for expenses, one thing is particularly appealing: only the drivers and co-drivers get closer to the action than the volunteers at the Central European Rally! For anyone with petrol flowing through their veins who may be interested, the event has now set up a bilingual application portal (German / English), making the application process quick and simple. The portal can be found at

Motorsport would be inconceivable without the dedication of volunteers. That also goes for the new round of the World Rally Championship in the heart of Europe. Even in the days leading up to the start in Prague, there are many operations and procedures that require the marshals to be on hand: on the special stages and in the Service Park, for example. Logically, not just any old helping hand is welcome. The organisers from the three countries are consciously inviting people to register as international volunteers. After all, the concept of the event also includes breaking down boundaries and making the joint European project a unifying event. The areas of application are extremely diverse and range from short stints to a rally experience lasting several days. There is something for every volunteer.
Rally welcomes volunteers with open arms
The rally organisers require volunteers‘ assistance in various areas between 20th and 30th October. Anyone wanting an intense rally experience on one or more days during this period should apply now. All you need is a basic knowledge of a foreign language (primarily English), and a passion for and interest in motorsport. Applicants with marshal experience are obviously particularly welcome. And it goes without saying that each helper will get a thank you from the organisers. As well as a small daily allowance, volunteers also receive travelling expenses and a food voucher. However, the best thing for real fans is that their ticket is valid on all days of the event and for all special stages, as well as the Service Park and start/finish. The tour in the border area between the three countries offers the unique opportunity to be involved in the premiere of a fascinating rally event.
