  • Norbert Haug at ADAC GT Masters finale
  • Current leader in rally world cup standings Sébastien Ogier makes flying visit to ADAC GT Masters
  • Chevrolet’s European boss Sedran on hand to support Callaway Competition
  • Brother of Formula 1 driver Pérez, guest of Lambda Performance

Norbert Haug visits ADAC GT Masters: Norbert Haug was very keen to see the ADAC GT Masters finale. This was the first time that the former Vice President of Mercedes-Benz motorsport had spectated at a Super Sports Cars League race.

Ogier on flying visit: Sebastian Ogier, current leader in the world rally championship standings, will be contesting his home rally in France next weekend, hoping to secure the title. Before returning to his home country to do battle for the title, the Volkswagen works driver paid his first visit to the ADAC GT Masters in Hockenheim.

Kärcher guests in Hockenheim: Hartmut Jenner, CEO of Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG, was at the ADAC GT Masters finale in Hockenheim along with Christian May, manager at Alfred Kärcher Vertriebs-GmbH. The two Kärcher bosses were treated to a ride around the Hockenheimring in a racing taxi and got to see things from a driver’s perspective. They also enjoyed having a look behind the scenes at the Super Sports Cars League. Kärcher, the world’s leading manufacturer of jet washing and associated cleaning equipment, have been partners of the ADAC GT Masters since last year.

Support for Callaway: Dr Thomas Sedran, President and Managing Director of Chevrolet and Cadillac Europe and Reeves Callaway, were also at the ADAC GT Masters finale in Hockenheim. Callaway, who gave his name to Callaway Cars and USA independent team Callaway Competition led by Ernst Wöhr and Giovanni Ciccone, travelled from California to wish Alessi/Keilwitz good luck in the finale.

Brother of Formula 1 driver Pérez at Lambda: Ford team Lambda Performance received VIP guests from Mexico at Hockenheim. Antonio Pérez, brother of McLaren Formula 1 driver Sergio Pérez, was accompanied by Luis Diaz, a former LMP2 champion from the American Le Mans Series (ALMS). They were delighted to see the Ford take its second victory of the season on Saturday. The Formula 1 driver’s older brother races in NASCAR Mexico.

Norbert Vettel in Hockenheim: The brother of Pérez was not the only VIP guest from the world of Formula 1 in Hockenheim. Norbert Vettel, father of three-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel, was also at the ADAC GT Masters finale in Hockenheim.

Corvette C7 Stingray in the paddock: Local driver Andreas Wirth had a very busy weekend in Hockenheim, as more than 300 guests visited him on Saturday and Sunday to wish him luck in his home race. They got to see something really special. A brand new Corvette C7 Stingray was displayed in the lounge on the roof of the pits. Callaway Competition are developing a GT3 racer for the 2015 season based on the seventh generation American sports car.

Tonino by Herberth with 1,250 bhp: Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport had something really spectacular in the paddock, where they displayed a 1,250-bhp power boat. The Porsche team’s power boat steals the show even from the ADAC GT Masters super cars with its massive performance figures: two 8.3 litre V8 engines each produce 625 bhp.

Carrera Challenge Tour: The finale of the ADAC GT Masters weekend in Hockenheim was the backdrop for a second appearance of the Carrera challenge tour this year. The slot car manufacturer set up a huge Carrera track in the paddock. The slot car track proved extremely attractive to many fans and even to Super Sports Car League drivers.
