German GT Championship up close and personal: Fans return to the paddock

  • Spectators allowed back in the paddock at the Lausitzring for the first time since 2019
  • Access in line with 3G regulations on Saturday and Sunday
  • Highlights for the fans: Meet the Drivers, pit walk and open pit lane

Munich. Great news for fans of the German GT Championship: When the DEKRA Lausitzring hosts the ADAC GT Masters next week (10th to 12th September), the series will welcome spectators back to the paddock for the first time since the final round of the 2019 season. The implementation of 3G regulations allows the return of the popular meeting of fans and drivers on Saturday and Sunday at the circuit in Brandenburg.

“We are delighted that fans are permitted to visit the paddock again on both days at the DEKRA Lausitzring,” says ADAC Motorsport Director, Thomas Voss. “The fans are a fundamental part of the ADAC GT Masters – without them, something has been missing since 2020. They are integral to the series. Thanks to the hygiene concept, which has been coordinated with the authorities, they can now finally go behind the scenes again and check out the spectacular GT3 cars and their drivers up close and personal.”

For autograph hunters: Meet the Drivers

Spectators at the Lausitzring will have the opportunity to meet their favourite ADAC GT Masters drivers on Saturday morning at the Meet the Drivers event. The stars of the German GT Championship will be on hand to answer questions and sign plenty of autographs.

Pit walk on Saturday and Sunday

Another fan highlight returns to ADAC GT Masters weekends at the Lausitzring: the popular pit walk. Visitors can watch the teams at work in the pit lane for 30 minutes on both Saturday and Sunday.

Pit view from the eBay Box

eBay, a series partner of the ADAC GT Masters, is offering fans a special insight at the Lausitzring. Visitors can follow the race action from the eBay Box, allowing them to watch the teams at work up close.

PS on Air live from the pit lane

Saturday evening has another tasty treat in store: after the final race of the day, the pit lane will open to fans. The online show, PS on Air – The Ravenol ADAC GT Masters Talk, will be broadcast live from the pit lane from 20:00. Presenter Patrick Simon will be joined by guests, as they look back at the highlights of Saturday’s race in the German GT Championship.

Tickets for specific seats available online

Admission tickets for the race weekend, with the choice of specific seats, can be purchased easily and contact-free ahead of the event at adac.de/motorsport. Ticket holders can then print their tickets themselves. Fans benefit from attractive and family-friendly prices in the ADAC GT Masters: a day ticket is available from € 22.50 for ADAC members, with the weekend ticket (Saturday and Sunday) starting at € 36. (€ 25 and € 40 for non-members). There is a special offer for families: admission is free for children aged 12 and under when accompanied by a paying adult. You can find more information and a detailed FAQ on purchasing tickets at adac-motorsport.de/en/adac-gt-masters/ticketing-faq.

Fans at the circuit can look forward to a feast of motorsport: as well as the ADAC GT Masters, the race weekend also features ADAC TCR Germany, the GTC race and Touring Car Classics, in which well-known drivers from the golden era of touring car racing line up in iconic race cars from the 1980s and 1990s.
