  • Austrian Paralympic team as guests

Prominent talisman: Ex-Formula 1 driver Felipe Nasr was present for the ADAC GT Masters race weekend in Austria. The Brazilian, who contested a total of 40 grand prix races for Sauber in the 2015 and 2016 seasons, was giving moral support to ADAC Formula 4 youngster Felipe Drugovich (17, Van Amersfoort Racing) - and obviously to good effect: the up-and-coming Brazilian junior won the second race of the ADAC High-Speed Academy, a result that took him to the top of the championship table.

Red Bull Ring eye-catchers: ADAC GT Masters sponsor kfzteile24 organised a photo shoot for its 2018 calendar. The models hired by the series partner attracted attention on the track, on the grid and on the winners' podium.

Acknowledgement: Great honour for Dennis Marschall (20, DEU, Aust Motorsport). The ADAC GT Masters driver has been accepted for the BMW Motorsport Junior Programme and is undergoing an intensive course of training to prepare him for his future in the sport. "I am very proud to have the support of such a large and prestigious brand in motor racing," said Marschall, who started out in the 2014 Formel ADAC series. "I will do my best to justify the confidence placed in me in all areas." Marschall is the second of two BMW Juniors in the Super Sports Car League, the other being Ricky Collard (20, GB, BMW Team Schnitzer). The BMW Motorsport Junior Programme also includes four other graduates of the ADAC High-Speed Academy, namely Beitske Visser, Mikkel Jensen, Joel Eriksson and Nico Menzel.

Celebratory mood: GRT Grasser Racing made the most of their ADAC GT Masters home race weekend by throwing a grand paddock party on Saturday evening. Members of other teams as well as many well-known drivers dropped in on the celebrations. GRT are an Austrian team based only a few kilometres from the Red Bull Ring.

Sporting visit: Eleven members of the Paralympic team fielded by the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV) sampled the atmosphere of another sporting discipline at the Red Bull Ring and were given a guided tour behind the scenes. Markus Salcher, a double gold medal winner at the 2014 Paralympic Games in Sochi, presented the trophies for the first of the three ADAC Formula 4 races. The Paralympians were also taken on a lap of the circuit in the Volkswagen Golf TCR 'race taxi' belonging to the ADAC TCR Germany outfit LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler.

Milestone weekend: Several ADAC GT Masters' drivers are celebrating personal milestones at the Red Bull Ring. Maximilian Götz (31, DEU, Mercedes-AMG Team HTP Motorsport) competed in his 70th ADAC GT Masters race on Sunday. Patrick Assenheimer (25, DEU, Mercedes-AMG Team HTP Motorsport) made his 50th start on Saturday, while Luca Stolz (21, DEU, Mercedes-AMG Team ZAKSPEED) passed the same mark on Sunday.
