Munich. Two rapid Dutchmen in Lamborghinis will try to win the Zandvoort round of the ADAC GT Masters on the weekend of 18th-20th September. Last year’s winner at Zandvoort, Jaap van Lagen (38, NL) and 24-h of Spa winner Nick Catsburg (27, NL/both Reiter Engineering) will go head-to-head in two Lamborghini Gallardos. For the fight between the two Dutch drivers, Reiter Engineering will field two Gallardos in the ADAC GT Masters for the first time in this 2015 season. ADAC GT Masters championship runner-up Van Lagen will share the drive in the Gallardo at the penultimate round of the season with ex-Formula 1 driver Tomas Enge (38, CZ).
Catsburg will line up alongside former champion Albert von Thurn and Taxis (32, DEU) on his ADAC GT Masters debut.
After his double victory in his home race last year, van Laagen is looking forward to his first start in the Lamborghini. "It’s through Nick Catsburg that our outing in the Lamborghini has come about. He really wanted to race in the ADAC GT Masters. I've never driven the Lamborghini before but know the track really well and have a top-class team-mate in Tomas Enge. I also have to thank Hans Reiter and Reiter Engineering for making this possible and look forward to my comeback in the ADAC GT Masters.“
The ADAC GT Masters will line up along with the “Masters of Formula 3” at Zandvoort. The traditional Formula 3 event which has in the past seen Lewis Hamilton, Nico Hülkenberg and David Coulthard take wins, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
Admission to the standing places in the dunes at Circuit Park Zandvoort is free to the Zandvoort Masters Weekend, featuring the ADAC GT Masters and Formula 3 Masters. Tickets for free entry to the dunes are available for download on the website of the Circuit Park Zandvoort at www.cpz.nl. Tickets for access to the paddock and the grandstands, including access to the autograph session and pit walk start at 20 euros and can be purchased in advance at adac.de/gt-masters. Apart from the super sports cars contesting the ADAC GT Masters and the young Formula 3 stars, the Renault Clio Cup Central Europe, the Spezial Tourenwagen Trophy (STT), the DTC des DMSB - ADAC PROCAR and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux will also provide plenty of motor racing action at Zandvoort.Bilder
