ADAC GT Masters test new Pirelli tyres

The ADAC GT Masters is gearing up for its first season with new exclusive tyre partner Pirelli. As of the 2015 season, the premium tyre manufacturer from Italy will equip all super sports cars in the ADAC GT Masters with tyres. During a two-day tyre testing session on Wednesday and Thursday in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, Pirelli collected extensive data from the supercars of all the manufacturers competing in the ADAC GT Masters. One vehicle from each manufacturer contesting the ADAC GT Masters took part in the tyre tests. The Bentley Continental and revised versions of the Nissan GT-R and the Lamborghini Gallardo were represented for the first time among the nine different super sports cars.

The weather on both days of the tyre tests was good with spring-like temperatures and a dry track, optimum conditions for carrying out a number of different test programmes. The supercars simulated qualifying, long runs and races.

Pirelli and the ADAC GT Masters will continue preparations for the new season in about three weeks' time in Oschersleben on April 8th/9th when official pre-season testing for the Super Sports Car League takes place at the same venue in Oschersleben. All those participating in the 2015 ADAC GT Masters season will then have the chance to undertake extensive testing with the new Pirelli tyres before the season kicks off on the weekend of 24th-26th April.
