- Outfit from Plauen in Saxony will go on competing in the ADAC GT Masters
- Third season with Audi R8
- YACO Racing plan expansion with second Audi and junior drivers
Munich. YACO Racing will line up again in the ADAC GT Masters during 2015. The team led by former rally driver Uwe Geipel have used the chance to sign up for the 2015 Super Sports Cars League at an early stage in the year. YACO Racing have contested the ADAC GT Masters since 2012, and 2015 marks their third season with the Audi R8.
Uwe Geipel: “We’re looking forward to another season in the ADAC GT Masters with the Audi R8. We’ve gained a lot of experience with the Audi over the past two years, and we’re looking forward to a fourth season in the ADAC GT Masters supported by our sponsors and partners.”
Geipel already has clear ideas about the drivers of the R8. “We would prefer to retain the driver combination from 2014 for a second season with Rahel Frey and Philip Geipel but cannot confirm that at the present time. The way Rahel, Philip and the entire team worked together last season was brilliant. I hope we can build on that this year.”
In addition, YACO are working on the possible deployment of another Audi in the ADAC GT Masters. “We’re planning to put a second R8 on the grid and give young drivers a chance,” said Geipel about his team’s expansion plans.
