Munich: The most successful team in the ADAC GT Masters is up for the challenge again in the 2015 season. Callaway Competition have been fielding the Corvette Z06 in the ADAC GT Masters right from the inception of the series and will be back for the 2015 campaign. With a tally of 21 race wins, the outfit led by Ernst Wöhr and Giovanni Ciccone ranks as the most successful in the history of the Super Sports Car League. In 2015, they will be contesting the series with two 2015 Corvette Z06s.
“The ADAC GT Masters is our sporting home, and we are pleased to be back again for 2015,” says Giovanni Ciccone. “The upcoming season brings new challenges with it, which we are happy to rise to; for example, we are very much looking forward to the new Pirelli tyres. In the past three years, we have consistently been in with a chance of the title right up to the end of the season, and in 2015, we aim to be battling for more race wins.”
They will be sticking with the Corvette Z06, the longest-serving supercar in the series and also its most successful with no fewer than 23 victories. Callaway Competition won the team title in 2009 and four years later the 2013 drivers’ championship with Daniel Keilwitz and Diego Alessi.
The team intend to confirm their driver line-up at a later date.
