Heinz-Harald Frentzen sizes up ADAC GT Masters opposition

  • Dress rehearsal for ADAC GT Masters in official pre-season tests at Oschersleben
  • Two-day warm-up involving more than 20 participants
  • Heinz-Harald Frentzen to put a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG through its paces

The ADAC GT Masters is about to stage its annual dress rehearsal. The official two-day pre season tests on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th April at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben give contestants the chance to size each other up a good two weeks before the Super Sports Car League starts in earnest at the same venue on the weekend of 25th to 27th April. One driver who has already confirmed his attendance is 46-year-old ex-Formula 1 and DTM driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen who is back in the ADAC GT Masters after a one-year break, this time driving a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG entered by HTP Motorsport.

The first ADAC GT Masters double bill of the 2014 season at Oschersleben will be contested by more than 20 supercars sporting eight different badges on their grilles. Each of the teams that have registered for the forthcoming ADAC GT Masters campaign will be sending at least one vehicle along to the tests. The five sessions will be spread out over eight hours on the two appointed days. The teams and drivers lining up for the 2014 Formel ADAC series will be making their own parallel preparations at Oschersleben during the same period.

Tuesday 8th April has been designated as Media Day – the ADAC will be holding a press conference at which they will be providing comprehensive information about the 2014 ADAC GT Masters and presenting the teams and drivers.

The etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben will also be open to fans on both test days. Admission to the circuit costs €5.00 for a day ticket, purchasable only at the gate.

Note to press representatives: If you wish to attend the ADAC GT Masters Media Day on 8th April, you need to obtain prior accreditation from Marcel Orban (Head of Communication at etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben): e-mail presse@motorsportarena.com; telephone +49 (0) 3949 920-525.
