McLaren are making a comeback to the ADAC GT Masters. Team MRS GT Racing led by Karsten Molitor intend to return to the Super Sports Car League with the McLaren MP4-12C. MRS GT Racing fielded the British super sports car during the 2012 ADAC GT Masters season. MRS GT Racing will announce at a later date which drivers the team will have in the line-up for the ADAC GT Masters 2014 season.
Team manager Karsten Molitor told us: “We aim to put at least one McLaren on the ADAC GT Masters grid. We are currently working hard to prepare a second McLaren, and it’s all looking very good. We believe in the competitiveness of the MP4-12C. Thanks to recent updates, McLaren have continued to improve the car. We will be starting our test programme in the days to come, trying out various drivers with the ADAC GT Masters season in mind.”
The ADAC GT Masters 2014 season kicks off on the weekend of April 25th-27th in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. All 16 races of the ADAC GT Masters will again be broadcast live and in full throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland on kabel eins during 2014.
