- Fourth season in ADAC GT Masters for Mercedes-Benz team

H.T.P. Motorsport will tackle another ADAC GT Masters season in 2014, running the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The Saarland-based team that lined up under the Polarweiss Racing name last year, will field two Mercedes-Benz SLS AMGs in the Super Sports Car League. Who will drive the two gullwings prepared by H.T.P. Motorsport is to be confirmed at a later date.
H.T.P. Motorsport team Principal Norbert Brückner: “We at H.T.P. Motorsport will be very busy this year, as we will have our most comprehensive racing programme ever with starts in various European series and I am pleased that we will be back in the ADAC GT Masters once more. We missed out on the ADAC GT Masters title last year when we were almost home and dry, so we will be doubly motivated to attack hard this year.”
H.T.P. Motorsport have been with Mercedes-Benz in the ADAC GT Masters since 2011. The team, which developed from HEICO Motorsport in late 2012, secured their maiden ADAC GT Masters victory for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG at the Nürburgring in 2011. Last year, the Mercedes-Benz team were title contenders right up until the finale at Hockenheim with their two drivers Maximilian Buhk (21, Germany), 2013 ADAC Motor Racing Sportsman of the Year, and Maximilian Götz (28, Germany), 2012 ADAC GT Masters Champion. So far, along with ADAC GT Masters newcomers ROWE Racing, H.T.P. Motorsport are one of two teams that will be deploying the 550-bhp Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG in the 2014 season.
The ADAC GT Masters 2014 season kicks off on the weekend of April 25th-27 in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. All 16 races of the ADAC GT Masters will again be broadcast live and in full throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland on kabel eins during 2014.
