- Third ADAC GT Masters season for team led by vice-champion Renauer
- Porsche team will hunt for titles in both drivers’ and Gentlemen classifications
- Two Herberth Porsches already entered – plans to campaign another 911 in progress
Herberth Motorsport, the team managed by ADAC GT Masters runner-up Robert Renauer (28, Germany) and twin brother Alfred (28, Germany) intend to contest their third ADAC GT Masters season with Porsche. The Bavarian team have already booked two places for the 2014 ADAC GT Masters season that kicks off on the weekend of April 25th-27th in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. So far, Herberth Motorsport are one of three teams in the Super Sports Car League that will be running Porsche 911s.
“We are really looking forward to the ADAC GT Masters season and intend once again to be title contenders in both the drivers’ category and in the Gentlemen class,” said Robert Renauer. “We are currently working on our driver line-up and on plans to introduce a third Porsche in the ADAC GT Masters.” Herberth Motorsport will announce its squad of drivers for the ADAC GT Masters 2014 season at a later date.
Last year, the Bavarian-based team secured their maiden ADAC GT Masters victory at the Lausitzring. The Porsche team were in contention for titles in both drivers’ and Gentlemen categories right up until the finale. Robert Renauer finished the season as runner-up in the drivers’ classification, whilst René Bourdeaux (38, Munich) placed second in the Gentlemen class.
The 2014 ADAC GT Masters season kicks off on the weekend of 25th to 27th April at the etropolis Motorsport Arena, Oschersleben. All 16 races of the 2014 ADAC GT Masters will again be broadcast live throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland on kabel eins television.
