- Guest appearance by JRM Racing in ADAC GT Masters finale at Hockenheim
- British team to enter two Nissan GT-Rs
- Peter Dumbreck shares cockpit with Matt Bell
The 2013 ADAC GT Masters goes into its penultimate weekend (13th - 15th September) in ten
days’ time at the Slovakia Ring, but thoughts are already turning to the grand finale of the
season at Hockenheim (27th - 29th September). The two last races of the campaign in Baden-
Württemberg will have an added element of spice with the involvement of two Nissan GT-Rs
entered by UK-based team JRM Racing. The Japanese supercars will be driven by DTM race
winner Peter Dumbreck (39, GB) and Matt Bell (23, GB), and by Humaid Al Masaood (30, UAE)
and Steven Kane (33, GB). JRM Racing are the official development and sales partner of Nissan
Motorsport (NISMO) for the only Japanese super sports car.
“This year, the objective was to demonstrate the competitive performance of the Nissan GT-R
Nismo GT3 on a European stage,” commented JRM Racing team principal, James Rumsey. “We
have largely achieved our aims in Blancpain with top ten qualifying positions and an overall
podium result. It is now time to widen the net and prove the car in another hotly fought series.
We looked at many championships, and the ADAC provided the best opportunity to showcase
the performance. All the major competitors are there, the quality of the drivers is very high and
there is undoubtedly a market to get involved in.”
JRM Racing won the 2011 FIA GT1 world championship with Nissan and last year contested the
FIA WEC sports car series. The Hockenheim weekend will be the second time this year that the
marque has been represented in the ADAC GT Masters: Schulze Motorsport brought a GT-R to
the Sachsenring where they achieved the best result to date for a Nissan, finishing in the Top
Ten.
