Paddock radar: ADAC GT Masters at Oschersleben

Government minister hands out trophies: Holger Stahlknecht, Minister of the Interior and Sport in the regional government of Saxony-Anhalt, attended the opening event of the ADAC GT Masters at Oschersleben on Sunday. Together with Reinhard Manlik, Chairman of the ADAC in Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, he presented the race winners with their trophies.

Schumacher back in action: Cora Schumacher, wife of former Formula 1 and DTM driver Ralf Schumacher, was back again for more MINI TROPHY action. This competition – exclusively for the cult MINI car – forms part of the support programme to the ADAC GT Masters. Cora Schumacher is not the only female contestant chasing this year’s title: she is up against the likes of Victoria Voss and ex-Playmate Doreen Seidel.

Gina-Lisa drops in on Abt: Gina-Lisa Lohfink attended her first ever ADAC GT Masters race. The celebrity model came to Oschersleben at the invitation of Prosperia C Abt Racing team principal Christian Abt.

Rowing world champion Hacker also in Oschersleben: Former world rowing champion Marcel Hacker, who comes from the nearby city of Magdeburg, accepted an invitation from Prosperia C Abt Racing and team sponsor Buchbinder Rent-a-Car to attend Sunday’s ADAC GT Masters race.

Nissen also on guest list: Former VW Motorsport Director Kris Nissen was also present at the ADAC GT Masters season opener in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Nissen handed the trophies to the winners of the ATS Formel 3 Cup on Saturday. The Dane already has experience of standing on a podium in his own right, having won the 1986 German Formula 3 Championship, the predecessor of the ATS Formel 3 Cup.

‘ran’ sporting director at the ADAC GT Masters: Alexander Rösner, who directs the ‘ran’ sports broadcasts on ProSiebenSat.1, watched the second round of the ADAC GT Masters from the grandstands. Ahead of the race, Rösner accompanied ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk on a grid walk, inspecting the supercars as they lined up for the ADAC GT Masters.

Premiere for Jacques Schulz: Putting in his first stint as commentator for the kabel eins live TV coverage at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben was Jacques Schulz. The ex-Formula 1 commentator joined sports car racing expert and racing driver Patrick Simon in the kabel eins commentary box to air his opinions on this year’s Super Sports Car League.

Vehicle delivery: AUDI, who are the ‘Official Car Partner’ of the ADAC GT Masters, presented the race race direction with new vehicles during the Oschersleben race weekend. Three Audi R8s will be used this season as safety car, standby safety car and leading car. The race direction also took delivery of two A4s for other duties.

ADAC GT Masters on N24: The 2013 ADAC GT Masters season will also be covered on N24, Germany’s leading TV news channel. On the Monday after each race weekend, N24 will be broadcasting a 30-minute programme showing the best of the action. The first ADAC GT Masters-Magazin is scheduled for 6.30pm on Monday 29th April.

Videowall: Fans attending the race weekend at Oschersleben didn’t miss a single incident out on the track thanks to the live coverage being shown on a huge 70-square-metre screen set up opposite the main stand.
