- ADAC GT Masters review on SPORT1, SPORT1+ and N24
The ADAC GT Masters continues to raise its profile on TV. From the third race weekend of the 2013 season at the Sachsenring (7th to 9th June), the already extensive TV coverage of the Super Sports Car League will be supplemented by a magazine programme on the pay TV channel SPORT1+. This 45-minute review of the highlights will span the entire programme of events from the previous ADAC GT Masters race weekend, including the ADAC GT Masters itself, the Formel ADAC junior open-wheel series, the ATS Formel 3 Cup, the MINI TROPHY and the Deutsche Tourenwagen Challenge des DMSB - ADAC PROCAR.
SPORT1+ will broadcast its highlights magazine on the Saturday or Sunday following the race weekend. The best of the action from the Sachsenring will be shown on Sunday 16th June, starting at 5.25pm. ADAC GT Masters-Magazin will then receive several repeat showings on SPORT1+ over the next few days. SPORT1+ is a pay TV offshoot of SPORT1 which can be received via several pay TV platforms in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and also as a streamed service on the internet.
The new magazine on SPORT1+ complements the existing ADAC GT Masters coverage on the free-to-air channel SPORT1 which has been showing highlights from the ADAC GT Masters race weekends since the 2009 season.
The ADAC GT Masters magazine programmes on SPORT1 and SPORT1+ are in addition to the live TV broadcasts of the ADAC GT Masters on commercial channel kabel eins. All 16 races on the 2013 ADAC GT Masters calendar are shown live on kabel eins. The broadcast starts at midday precisely on Saturdays and Sundays, with commentary provided by motor racing expert and former Formula 1 pundit Jacques Schulz. Germany’s leading news channel N24 is also showing highlights of the 2013 ADAC GT Masters in a 30-minute magazine at 6pm on the Monday following the race weekend.
The 2013 ADAC GT Masters will once again be contested over 16 rounds on eight race weekends throughout the year. The Super Sports Car League is being hosted by two new venues this time: the Formula 1 circuit at Spa-Francorchamps and the Slovakia Ring in Slovakia.
Tickets for all ADAC GT Masters races start at €20 and can be purchased online at www.adac.de, from any ADAC branch office, online at www.eventim.de or from one of the more than 20,000 Eventim outlets throughout Europe.
