Prelude to the season: ADAC GT Masters test days at Oschersleben

Dress rehearsal for the 2013 ADAC GT Masters: On Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th April, the Super Sports Car League will be running its official test sessions at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. After the winter break and before the ADAC GT Masters season gets properly underway on the weekend of 26th - 28th April at the circuit near Magdeburg, drivers and teams have one last chance to familiarise themselves with their vehicles and with the newly developed tyres supplied by ADAC GT Masters exclusive partner YOKOHAMA. Fans are welcome to attend both days of the pre-season test at the etropolis Motorsport Arena.

Around twenty of the cars that have been entered for the forthcoming competition will be pitted against each other in this preliminary (albeit unofficial) trial of strength. Prosperia C. Abt Racing and defending team champions MS RACING will be trying out their new Audi R8s, while Porsche outfits Farnbacher Racing and Tonino by Herberth Motorsport will be discovering the extent of the improvements to the 911.

Callaway Competition (Corvette) and rhino’s Team Leipert (Lamborghini) will also be there, together with Oschersleben-based Schubert Motorsport and fellow BMW Z4 specialists DB Motorsport. Polarweiss Racing will be bringing along their Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and plan to announce their four-driver squad for the two gullwings at the official Media Day press conference on 10th April.

The etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben is open to fans on both test days. Admission at the gate costs €5.00.

The times of the sessions are as follows: Tuesday, 9am - 1pm and 2pm - 6pm; Wednesday, 9am - 11.30am and 2pm - 6pm.

The 2013 ADAC GT Masters will once again be contested over 16 rounds on eight race weekends throughout the year. All 16 races of the ADAC GT Masters will be shown on free-to-air TV station kabel eins. The live broadcasts to audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland commence at 12 noon on both the Saturday and the Sunday. The Super Sports Car League is being hosted by two new venues this time: the Formula 1 circuit at Spa-Francorchamps and the Slovakia Ring in Slovakia. The curtain-raiser for the seventh season of the ADAC GT Masters will be staged on the weekend of 26th - 28th April at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
