20.03.2013 - ADAC GT Masters

New date for ADAC GT Masters test and media day

  • Save the date: 10th April 2013 – ADAC GT Masters test and media day
  • Clash with DTM media day in Hockenheim averted

The ADAC GT Masters is getting into gear for the 2013 season: engines will be fired up for the first time on 9th and 10th April during the official ADAC GT Masters test days at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Approximately two weeks later, it will then be time for the ADAC GT Masters drivers to get down to business when the first Super Sports Car League race weekend of the 2013 season takes place from 26th to 28th April, likewise in Oschersleben.

A media day will be held on 10th April during pre-season testing in Oschersleben when media representatives can gather information about the upcoming ADAC GT Masters Season. The ADAC and the ITR e.V. have agreed to move the ADAC GT Masters press test day originally scheduled for the 9th April to the 10th April in order to avoid a clash with the DTM media day that is due to take place during this period.

Hans Werner Aufrecht, Chairman of DTM rights holder and promoter ITR e.V.: “Working with the ADAC, we have found a way to avoid a clash of dates between the media days organised by the ADAC GT Masters and the DTM. This shows just how well the two major German motor racing series can cooperate.”

Lars Soutschka, ADAC Head of Motorsport: “Having regard to the interests of German motorsport and of all concerned, we have decided to postpone our official ADAC GT Masters test and media day by one day. The ADAC GT Masters and the DTM have an exciting new season ahead of them and by preventing this scheduling conflict, media representatives now have every opportunity to get all the facts about the 2013 racing season before the start of the respective seasons in Oschersleben and Hockenheim.”

The ADAC GT Masters test and media days also mark the start of the season for the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben; Germany’s most northern race track will hold its annual press conference during the ADAC GT Masters test and media day and disseminate information about events scheduled for the 2013 season.
