- Second ADAC GT Masters appearance for Schnitzelalm Racing
- Team to field two Mercedes-AMG GT3 at round six of the season in Hockenheim
Munich. Schnitzelalm Racing comes as a twin pack at the finale of this season’s ADAC GT Masters (20th to 22nd October) at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. The team from Niederzissen travels to round six of the season with two Mercedes-AMG GT3. Marcel Marchewicz (Schwetzingen) and Moritz Wiskirchen (Euskirchen) will share one cockpit, Christer Jöns (Ingelheim) and Luca Arnold (Pfronstetten) the other. “We really enjoyed our guest appearance in the ADAC GT Masters at the ADAC Truck Grand Prix. For this reason, we were keen to start in the series again. It is nice to be able to do that at the season finale in Hockenheim. We are really looking forward to our second start and want to mix it with the established teams,” says team principal Thomas Angerer. Schnitzelalm Racing caught the eye on its debut at the Nürburgring with a top-five finish in race six of the season.
With its driver pairings, the team is taking advantage of the benefits of the ADAC GT Master and allowing young drivers to start alongside experienced racers. In Marchewicz, the Mercedes-AMG team is banking on its regular driver. In contrast, team-mate Wiskirchen is set to make his ADAC GT Masters debut. The second Mercedes-AMG GT3 has an experienced man at the wheel, in the form of Jöns. The 36-year-old has made over 70 appearances in the ADAC GT Masters and has finished on the podium on ten occasions. He partners Arnold, who is also making his debut in the ADAC’s iconic GT series.
TV partner Sport1 is showing all the races at the season finale live and in full on free-to-air TV. The ADAC GT Masters will also be streamed live on the free YouTube channel
