- Schubert Motorsport lines up with one BMW M4 GT3
- Last year’s Pirelli Junior champion Ben Green starts
- Debut for Filipino Eduardo Coseteng
Munich. The field continues to grow for the opening round of this season’s ADAC GT Masters, which takes place on 10th June at the “Festival of Dreams” at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. Schubert Motorsport has registered one BMW M4 GT3 for the 2023 season. The team from the Magdeburger Börde region of Germany can call on the services of Ben Green, who won last year’s Pirelli Junior competition. Eduardo Coseteng from the Philippines will share the cockpit of the super sports car with the 25-year-old Brit. TV partner Sport1 will broadcast all twelve races, live and in full, on free-to-air TV.
“We had a very good first year with the BMW M4 GT3 in 2022. Our team has a long association with the ADAC GT Masters and we have always valued the involvement in this championship. For this reason, we worked hard over the winter to be able to start in this series again, as well as in the DTM. The fact that the ADAC is the organiser of both racing series has organisational and logistical advantages for us as a team, which makes the involvement even more attractive for us,” says team manager Marcel Schmidt.
Since making its debut in the series in 2010, Schubert Motorsport has developed into one of the most successful teams in the ADAC GT Masters, with 13 race wins to its name. Team founder Torsten Schubert is looking to back up that success this season with a promising pair of young drivers. With that in mind, the team is building on two-time race winner Green. “I am thrilled to be driving for Schubert Motorsport again in 2023. We had a good season with the BMW M4 GT3 last year, particularly in winning the Pirelli Junior competition. The goal is now the title in the overall championship. I can hardly wait for the opening race to get started in Hockenheim,” says Green.
Coseteng completed his first kilometres of racing in BMW’s latest GT3 car last December in the Intercontinental GT Challenge in Abu Dhabi. The 19-year-old is now looking forward to his debut in the ADAC GT Masters: “The move to the ADAC GT Masters an important career step for me. Schubert Motorsport is the perfect team for this challenge. We have a strong package with this crew and the BMW M4 GT3, and I am looking forward to the cooperation.”
