Premiere for Haupt Racing Team in the ADAC GT Masters

  • Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo the car of choice
  • International pairing of Ralf Aron from Estonia and Switzerland’s Alain Valente

Munich. The ADAC GT Masters field is growing: Haupt Racing Team is the latest newcomer to the series and will field a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. In Estonian Ralf Aron (24) and Switzerland’s Alain Valente (26), two talented youngsters line up for the team of Hubert Haupt, who adds the ADAC GT Masters to his DTM programme. The new ADAC GT Masters season gets underway on 10th June as part of the “Festival of Dreams” at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. TV partner SPORT1 is broadcasting all twelve of this season’s races live and in full on free-to-air TV.

“With the new driver concept in the ADAC GT Masters, it was a logical step for us to expand our portfolio to incorporate this racing series. Above all, we also see potential synergies with the DTM. The ADAC GT Masters starts at the same racetracks and on the same tyres as the DTM. This allows the young drivers to test themselves against colleagues from the DTM – indirectly, at least. Competing in both series also allows us to try out a few more things and then to implement what we learn. We see that as a big advantage and a chance to develop our talented young drivers in GT3 racing, perhaps for the DTM,” says Ulrich Fritz, Managing Director of Haupt Racing Team. In total, the ADAC GT Masters will feature four times on the popular and far-reaching DTM platform.

In Aron and Valente, two youngsters will occupy the driving seat in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. Valente drove for the team from Drees, not far from the Nürburgring, in the 2022 GT World Challenge Europe. Newcomer Aron is set to make his debut both for Haupt Racing Team and in the ADAC GT Masters in 2023. This sees the Estonian come full circle in the wide range of ADAC racing series, having celebrated one victory at the Nürburgring in the inaugural season of ADAC Formula 4 in 2015.
