Munich. The ADAC GT Masters is teaming up with DEKRA to present a world full of experiences for the whole family at the DEKRA Lausitzring on 20th and 21st August. As well as spectacular motorsport, visitors to the Family & Friends Festival can also look forward to a unique mix of technological highlights, fun, shows, presentations, and a glimpse behind the scenes of the DEKRA Lausitzring. Fascinating experience worlds can be discovered across the entire site and are easily accessible via a shuttle service. Music fans are also in for a real treat. German DJ duo “Gestört aber geil” will ensure there is a great atmosphere on the Saturday evening. Tickets at unbeatable prices, starting at € 5, are available online at
adac.de/motorsport. Admission to the entertaining event is free for children aged 15 and under when accompanied by an adult.
The Family & Friends Festival has plenty of exciting activities for youngsters. A bicycle track, drone flying school, face painting, carousels, and bouncy castles will delight younger fans in the children’s Kinder-Welt. The attractions for adults in the Motor-Welt include an opportunity to try out the latest cars and experience the banked corner in the test oval, while they can also embark on an offroad adventure on a large all-terrain track in the Offroad-Welt area. Nature lovers will find everything they need to enjoy boundless freedom in the Outdoor-Welt.
The DEKRA and ADAC zone depicts the entire portfolio of the export organisation and mobility club. Visitors to the track can check out an ADAC Luftrettung helicopter, while various hazardous situations are recreated in driving simulations. There will also be exclusive access behind the otherwise locked doors of the DEKRA Lausitzring, its test laboratories and test facilities. In the ADAC MX Academy, children aged six and over can gain their first experience of Motocross racing on electric bikes. Adolescents can also enter races in an E-Kart Slalom in specially built E-Karts, as part of the “United in Dreams” inclusion project.
Motorsport fans can look forward to races nine and ten of the German GT Championship, as well as other attractive racing series. The Prototype Cup Germany lines up with its Le Mans prototypes on the support programme for the ADAC GT Masters for the first time this season. Young drivers will battle it out for points in ADAC Formula 4, while ADAC TCR Germany guarantees thrilling touring car action on the 3.478-kilometre track. The drivers in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will also put pedal to the metal at the DEKRA Lausitzring. A spectacular drift challenge rounds off the diverse programme.
