Munich. Welcome news for all fans of the ADAC GT Masters: The opening round of the German GT Championship at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (22nd to 24th April) will take place without coronavirus restrictions, as the official measures currently in place come to an end on 2nd April. For the first time since 2019, an ADAC GT Masters event in Oschersleben can welcome back spectators. 2G and 3G entry requirements no longer apply, and masks are no longer mandatory. Fans are also welcome at the ADAC GT Masters’ official pre-season test in Oschersleben, from 4th to 6th April. Tickets for the ADAC GT Masters season-opener start at € 28 and are available online at
adac.de/motorsport. ADAC members receive a 10% discount on tickets purchased in advance.
“This is really nice news for all motorsport fans at the start of the season. The focus is finally back on the sport,” said ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss, summing up the good news from Saxony-Anhalt. As the situation remains dynamic, it is important to point out that official regulations may change again before the start of the season.
From 4th to 6th April, three weeks before the season-opener, the ADAC GT Masters, ADAC TCR Germany and ADAC GT4 Germany will hold their official pre-season test. For the ADAC GT Masters, six test sessions are scheduled on 5th/6th April. Six teams will make their ADAC GT Masters debut at the 2022 test: Allied-Racing, ID Racing with Herberth, Eastalent Racing, Emil Frey Racing, Madpanda Motorsport and Team ZVO. There are also several newcomers among the drivers, which promises to make it an exciting and entertaining season. Furthermore, two new cars will be making their first ADAC GT Masters appearance at the test on the 3.667-kilomete track: the BMW M4 GT3 is set for its first official outing in the German GT Championship, as is the new Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.
Spectators are welcome at the circuit and in the paddock on all three days. Tickets start at € 5 and are only available on the gate. Although there are no official coronavirus regulations, the ADAC GT Masters recommends that all visitors observe social distancing rules and wear masks when inside, or when it is not possible to maintain social distancing.
