Audi Sport remains partner of the German GT Championship

  • Audi Sport has provided the Official Cars of the ADAC GT Masters since 2012
  • Audi Sport models will continue to be used as Safety Car and Leading Car

Munich. Audi Sport and the ADAC GT Masters are continuing their successful partnership: As Official Car Partner, Audi Sport will also provide the Safety Car and Leading Car in the future. The partnership is celebrating its tenth anniversary this season.

“The ADAC GT Masters has developed into home on the motorsport scene for Audi Sport,” says Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing. “The series is professionally organised, has a strong field, and is close to the fans. We have been providing the Official Cars for this popular platform for over a decade now, and are pleased to be continuing the productive cooperation with the ADAC in the future.”

“A long and successful partnership like the one between Audi Sport and the ADAC is really rather special,” stresses ADAC Sport Director Thomas Voss. “Our partnership is already in its tenth year, making Audi Sport one of our most loyal partners. We are very happy to extend the cooperation beyond the current season.”

Most successful manufacturer in the history of the series
Audi GT3 cars have lined up in the ADAC GT Masters since 2009. With 47 wins to its name, as well as four Driver and five Team titles, the brand is the most successful manufacturer in the series. This season, Audi is again challenging for the title with Ricardo Feller (21/CH) and Christopher Mies (32/Düsseldorf, both Montaplast by Land-Motorsport). In 2022, the latest version of the GT3 car with the four rings – the Audi R8 LMS GT3 – will make its debut in the German GT Championship. Audi Sport customer racing cars are also run in ADAC GT4 Germany and ADAC TCR Germany.

The opening round of the 2022 season takes place from 22nd to 24th April at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
