Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will continue to line up under ADAC GT Masters banner

  • One-make cup will again be integral part of ADAC GT Masters next year
  • Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will race alongside ADAC GT Masters six times in 2021

Munich: The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will continue to line up under the banner of the ADAC GT Masters over the next two years and remain an integral part of the support programme. The well established Porsche one-make cup will contest rounds at six ADAC GT Masters race weekends next year. Along with the ADAC GT Masters, the ADAC GT4 Germany, the ADAC Formula 4 and the ADAC TCR Germany, the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will continue to offer a solid, interesting package of events in future.

"As a strong brand, Porsche has dominated the ADAC GT Masters field and race weekends as well together with the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland," said ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk. "So it's tremendous that once again in future years, we'll have successful Porsche teams in the ADAC GT Masters and will still be able to watch the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland as well. It serves to demonstrate yet again the appeal of the ADAC GT Masters platform for both drivers and teams and for a brand like Porsche."

"Since 2018, the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland has staged most of its races under the banner of the ADAC GT Masters," said Alexander Pollich, CEO Porsche Deutschland GmbH. "We look forward to continuing this successful collaboration. The GT3 series is motor racing at a high level and has shown itself to be reliable partners even in these turbulent times with the corona pandemic."

The Porsche Carrera Cup will hold six of its eight race weekends within the context of the ADAC GT Masters next year, including rounds at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (May 14th-16th) and at the Red Bull Ring (June 11th-13th). During the second half of the year, the German one-make cup, which is exclusively for Porsche 911 GT3 Cup vehicles, will join the Super Sports Car League for racing at the Nürburgring (August 6th-8th), at Zandvoort in the Netherlands (August 20th-22nd), at the Sachsenring (October 1st-3rd) and at the Hockenheim season finale (October 15th-17th).

"The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland is a really amazing one-make cup series that has been part of the ADAC GT Masters platform for many years now," said ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss. "The Porsche Carrera Cup perfectly complements the ADAC Motorsport's programme of motor racing at circuits, which is precisely why we are pleased that we will be continuing our work together in the years ahead. We can thus offer racing drivers and young talents competing in the sport, and the fans too, of course, a superb package of motorsport."
