25.09.2020 - ADAC GT Masters

Spectators cleared to watch ADAC GT Masters races at the Sachsenring and Red Bull Ring

  • Authorities give go-ahead for public to attend ADAC GT Masters in Saxony and Austria
  • Biosecurity measures will be in place at both venues

Munich: Fans will once again have the opportunity to enjoy the ADAC GT Masters live when the series is hosted by the Sachsenring (2nd - 4th October) and the Red Bull Ring (16th - 18th October). The authorities have specified a maximum number of fans for both race weekends, taking into account a scheme of hygiene and infection protection drawn up by the race track proprietors in consultation with the ADAC GT Masters. At the Sachsenring, a maximum of 6,000 fans per day will be admitted to the viewing areas; the figure for the Red Bull Ring has been set at 3,000 fans per day. Access to the paddock will not be permitted for fans at either race track.

At the Sachsenring, the standing room area in the infield of the circuit will be opened to spectators, where they can follow all the track action on two video walls. Access to the spectator area is via the Karthalle forecourt. The now familiar COVID-19 hygiene and safety measures apply to all visitors. Car parks 10 and 11 will be open for use.

Tickets for the Sachsenring are available online in advance at adac.de/motorsport. All tickets will bear the purchaser’s name. Fans who have already bought tickets at an earlier date will receive information via e-mail on how to exchange their tickets for personalised tickets. An identity check will be carried out when entering the spectator area. It is therefore necessary to bring an official photo ID with you.

Tickets are also available on site at the box office in front of the Karthalle. In order to avoid a long wait, it is recommended that you buy tickets online. All holders of a ticket for Saturday or Sunday will also have access to the circuit on Friday. Sharing the bill with the ADAC GT Masters at the Sachsenring on the first weekend in October will be the ADAC GT4 Germany, the ADAC TCR Germany and the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.

For the ADAC GT Masters weekend at the Red Bull Ring, the Start-Ziel and Steiermark grandstands will be open for spectators. Tickets can be purchased online in advance as well as on site at the box office; they will once again bear the purchaser’s name. The online advance sale process allows fans to book a specific seating position. The now familiar COVID-19 hygiene and safety measures apply to all visitors. Sharing the bill with the ADAC GT Masters at the Red Bull Ring will be the ADAC GT4 Germany, the ADAC Formula 4, the ADAC TCR Germany and the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.

Tickets already purchased for the ADAC GT Masters at the Red Bull Ring remain valid. All such ticket holders will already have been informed by e-mail how they can convert their existing ticket to a seat-specific booking for one of the two open grandstands.
