- Porsche works driver, Sven Müller, back in the line-up
- Team’s car will have a new livery and display start number #99 again
Munich: Precote Herberth Motorsport intend to mount a fresh challenge for the title in the ADAC GT Masters. For their eighth season the team from Jedenhofen to the north of Munich have taken on someone well-known to fans of the Super Sports Car League to strengthen their squad. Porsche works driver Sven Müller (28, GER) is rejoining the outfit and will share the Porsche 911 GT3 R bearing start number #99 with team regular, Robert Renauer (34, GER). The ADAC GT Masters will get the season under way on the weekend of 24th-26th April in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
“We are delighted that Sven is returning to join us,” said Team Principal, Alfred Renauer. “We’ve already celebrated quite a few successes together and intend to build on that in the upcoming ADAC GT Masters season to secure more wins.” Renauer and Müller raced Precote’s Porsche in the Super Sports Car League during the 2017 season and ultimately finished twelfth overall after securing a win and a third place. 28-year-old Müller has also contested a number of endurance races for Alfred and Robert Renauer’s team, including the 2017 24 Hours of Spa and the 24 Hours of Barcelona in 2019.
The two Porsche drivers had their most recent race outing together earlier this year in the Dubai 24 Hours. “We now function extremely well as a team and I’m very pleased to be back with Robert in the ADAC GT Masters line-up,” said Müller. “We also get along very well away from the racetrack, which makes working together a whole lot easier.” The 2017 season was a bit of a roller-coaster. “But we aim to start where we left off, on a high, and secure more success,” said Müller.
As 2018 champions, the outfit managed by the Renauer twins used #1 last season, 2019, but will display the more familiar #99 again this year. The Precote Porsche will also have a new livery which should really please fans.
