- Registration for 2013 season has opened
- Limited number of grid places
- Attractive prize money for teams and Gentlemen drivers
The 2013 ADAC GT Masters season kicks off this November and as of now the ADAC is accepting entries for the upcoming Super Sports Cars League season. Teams booking before the 14th December for the 2013 season can benefit from attractive preferential rates.
However, you must be quick off the mark, as the ADAC only has a maximum number of 28 slots available in 2013, to be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. The ADAC will reserve a further six places until the close of registration on 15th March 2013 for teams still working on their plans for next year. And for the first time, the 2013 registration fee now includes attendance at an official 'test and media day' before the start of the season, time and place to be confirmed. Applications for the 2013 season can only be made online, via ADAC's website at http://www.adac.de/motorsport, from 21st November onwards.
The ADAC GT Masters is again offering attractive prize money for the 2013 season. Teams and drivers in the former amateur class, to be known as the Gentlemen's Category from 2013 onwards, will be competing for prize money totalling 150,000 euros in the 16 races. Prize money amounting to 75,000 euros will be paid at the end of each season to the top five drivers in the 'gentlemen's' and team standings.
ADAC Head of Motorsport Division Lars Soutschka: "We are pleased to be able to offer a raft of benefits to teams thinking of applying: preferential rates, races already calendared for next year, generous prize money, attractive general conditions from the word go and planning security for the 2013 season. In order to put the ADAC GT Masters 2013 on a firmer footing, we have also decided to limit the number of drivers taking part. By reducing the number of grid positions available, we will strengthen the position of our teams, providing increased media presence for all participants and maximum exposure at the track."
The ADAC GT Masters will again feature eight events with 16 races during the 2013 season. For the first time next year, the super sports cars will line up on the grid at the Spa-Francorchamps Formula 1 circuit and at the Slovakiaring in Slovakia. The Motorsport Arena Oschersleben is the venue for the inaugural weekend of the seventh ADAC GT Masters season (26th to 28 April).
