- Teams and drivers prepare for season opener on the weekend of 13th - 15th April
Munich: The long wait is coming to an end. Next week (26th - 27th March), the teams and drivers of the ADAC GT Masters will at last be seeing some track action during the official preseason tests at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Around 35 supercars sporting the badges of Audi, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Honda, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche will be taking part in the dress rehearsal for the 2018 season at the circuit near Magdeburg. Fans are welcome to come and watch the two days of testing. Just over two weeks later on the weekend of 13th - 15th April, the ADAC GT Masters will be staging its season opener at the same venue. This and all other race weekends will receive live coverage on SPORT1, with all races being shown in full.
All 23 registered teams will be present at this warm-up for the twelfth season of the Super Sports Car League. In addition to the regular teams on the starting sheet, there are five newcomers and a number of returnees, including Team Rosberg and Phoenix Racing. The ADAC GT Masters has been chosen as the race series in which the Ferrari 488 GT3 and the Honda NSX GT3 will make their European debut, and interest is sure to be acute.
But it is not only the ADAC GT Masters that is gearing up for the new campaign: ADAC Formula 4, the ADAC TCR Germany and the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany are also on the bill at Oschersleben. The ADAC Formula 4 and Porsche Carrera Cup drivers and teams will be testing on 27th and 28th March. The sessions for the ADAC TCR Germany have been marked for 26th and 27th March.
Fans are welcome to come and watch the action at Motorsport Arena on all three days. Admission is five euros at the gate.
Note for media representatives: A press conference will be held on 26th March in the Jockel-Klein-Hall of the Hotel Motorsport Arena. Under discussion will be the upcoming season for the ADAC GT Masters as well as for the ADAC Formula 4 and ADAC TCR Germany.
