Facts about the ADAC GT Masters weekend at the Lausitzring

• Second round of season for Super Sports Car League
• Second edition of Lausitzring Motorsport Festival with the DTM
• SPORT1 will broadcast both races live on Saturday and Sunday

Munich: This weekend (May 19th - 21st) will be the only time this year that the ADAC GT Masters will line up together with the DTM at the Lausitzring Motorsport Festival. We set out below things worth knowing about the two races in the Super Sports Car League which will be broadcast live and in full on Saturday at 12.45 pm and on Sunday at 1.00 pm on SPORT1.

- After the successful joint race weekend in 2016, the ADAC GT Masters will be racing for a second time alongside the DTM at the Lausitzring Motorsport Festival. If we include the 2007 season finale at Hockenheim and the 2008 weekend at the Norisring, this will be the fourth time that the two race series have held joint meetings.

- The ADAC GT Masters has staged ten race weekends at the Lausitzring, featuring some 20 races in all, since the first season in 2007

- Ten different super sports cars have emerged victorious in the 20 races held so far

- Porsche is the most successful brand in the ADAC GT Masters at the Lausitzring with seven wins, followed by Corvette with four and Mercedes with three wins

- Of the current field of entrants in the Super Sports Car League, Sebastian Asch, Christian Engelhart, Daniel Keilwitz and Robert Renauer are the most successful drivers at the Lausitzring with two wins each

- Eight drivers in all - DTM drivers Maxime Martin and René Rast and ADAC GT Masters aces Rahel Frey, Maximilian Götz, Patrick Huisman, Stefan Mücke, Frank Stippler and Markus Winkelhock - have lined up in both race series

- ADAC GT Masters teams BWT Mücke Motorsport, BMW Team Schnitzer and Mercedes-AMG Team ZAKSPEED have also competed in the DTM

- The 3.478-kilometre Lausitzring is the shortest on the ADAC GT Masters calendar and fans get to see the super sports cars out on track more often than at any other

- Apart from the Sachsenring, the Lausitzring is the only track in the ADAC GT Masters where drivers race in a counter-clockwise direction

- ADAC GT Masters defending champion Christopher Mies holds the ADAC GT Masters lap record at the Lausitzring with a time of 1.22.569 minutes. He set the record in last year's second race in an Audi R8 LMS

- The Corvette C7 GT3-R set the record for qualifying last year when Dominik Schwager secured pole position with a best time of 1.21.613 minutes. The Lausitzring is definitely a happy hunting ground for Corvette, and Corvette team Callaway are the most successful outfit at the Lausitzring, having achieved four wins. The Corvette Z06.R GT3 notched up the first of a total of 23 wins there in the ADAC GT Masters back in 2007

- 17 teams, fielding super sports cars from seven manufacturers (Audi, BMW, Corvette, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG, Nissan and Porsche), will be in the line-up at the weekend
