01.09.2017 - ADAC GT Masters

Team Rosberg will also line up in ADAC GT Masters during 2018

  • Plan to field two Lamborghini Huracán GT3s
  • Team won in the Super Sports Car League back in 2009

Second key area of activity opening up for Team Rosberg. The German outfit will contest the ADAC GT Masters during the 2018 season with two Lamborghini Huracán GT3s whilst continuing their involvement in the DTM.

Team Principal Arno Zensen: "We want to have a broader base. We were already thinking about expanding towards the end of 2016 and subsequently had some initial discussions with Lamborghini. As we race with Audi in the DTM, it was important for us to remain loyal to the Volkswagen Group. The Lamborghini Huracán is one of the most successful GT3 sports cars of recent years and has already notched up many wins. The ADAC GT Masters is the ideal stage and one of the strongest GT3 race series around. We're looking forward to the fresh challenge."

Team Rosberg are returning to the ADAC GT Masters fold. The outfit used to race in the ADAC GT Masters back in 2009 and 2010, taking a win and several podiums. The first Lamborghini has already arrived at team headquarters not far from Hockenheim and has been completely rebuilt. The first tests will begin in the autumn following the roll-out. The team are planning to take on extra staff so as to be able to tackle their twin programme - the DTM and their latest project in GT3. Audi Sport Team Rosberg currently lead the DTM team standings after four wins by 2014 ADAC GT Masters champion, René Rast, and Jamie Green. The drivers for 2018 have yet to be determined.
