- David Jahn is new team-mate of Porsche works driver Kévin Estre
- Team managed by sportscar world champion Bernhard start programme of testing
Munich: KÜS Team75 Bernhard will have a speedy pair of drivers for their debut season in the ADAC GT Masters. The team led by sportscar world champion and Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard and his father Rüdiger will rely on the services of Kévin Estre (27, F) and David Jahn (25, DEU), driving a Porsche 911, for their debut season in the Super Sports Car League.
This January, Porsche works driver Kévin Estre was confirmed as the first driver for the team from Bruchmühlbach-Miesau in the Rhineland-Palatinate. David Jahn has now been named as the Frenchman’s team-mate in the brand new Porsche 911 GT3 R. The 25-year-old ADAC GT Masters race winner has had two seasons in the ADAC GT Masters so far, gaining experience both with Porsche and in a Corvette.
“I’m really pleased that things have worked out with KÜS Team75 Bernhard,” said Jahn. “It’s great to be returning to the ADAC GT Masters after a year off, especially in the new Porsche. I already know my team-mate Kévin Estre from competing together in a one-make trophy, and, having a Porsche works driver at my side will really motivate me. I can hardly wait for testing to get under way and the season to start.”
Team owner Timo Bernhard feels really well prepared to meet the challenges of the upcoming season with the signing of two young drivers, the way the team is organised and the partnership with Porsche: “I’m especially pleased to see that David is getting the chance he truly deserves. He will surprise some people in a positive way. The entire team are keen for the season to start and to meet the challenges in the ADAC GT Masters.”
Team boss Klaus Graf said: “We’ve been able to sign a very promising talented driver, David Jahn, for our races in the ADAC GT Masters. We’re certain that we’ve now got a very strong driver pairing for our first season in GT racing with Kévin and David. David has experience of the ADAC GT Masters, and we know that he will quickly get accustomed to the new Porsche.”
All ADAC GT Masters races will once again be broadcast live and in full during 2016 by SPORT1 on free-to-air TV. The 2016 ADAC GT Masters season opens on the weekend of April 15th-17th, 2016, in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Advance tickets are available online at www.adac.de/motorsport.
